Worlds Largest Flag raised in the Aravah desert, near Masada, the lowest point on earth!
Guinness Certificate for Record of World's Largest Flags
It took four hectares - roughly the size of 3 football fields - to accommodate the showcasing of the Israeli and Philippine Flags at Israel's Masada Airfield last November 25. The gargantuan flags were unfurled by hundreds of volunteers composed of Filipino caregivers and Israeli youths. They were joined by Philippine Embassy to Israel Charge d'Affaires Gilberto G.B. Asuque and Israel's Tourism Director General Shaul Zemach. Phillipines flag
The record-breaking Israeli flag was accompanied by a giant Philippines flag - huge, but not quite as big. It weighed "only" about 3.8 metric tons.Large stones anchored both flags as they billowed in the desert winds.
"God spoke to me in thunder and lightening," "The Lord said, 'Make the flag of Israel, the standard of my people

A Gift From The Philippines - The World's Largest Flag of Israel
Commemorating 50 years of relations between the Philippines and Israel, two flags of Israel and the Philippines are currently competing as contenders for the Guiness Book of Records. Each the size of two football fields. The project was initiated by a businesswoman and nun from the Philippines, Sister Grace Galindez-Gupana. The flags were airlifted from the Philippines and were unrolled and measured at the foot of the Massada.11/26/07

Grace's message was powerful and moving
She ends with an inspired and emotional proclamation. "To declare to the world,
What God has started, He will finish it!"
She is obviously committed and passionate in her service and love of God.
I believe her words were inspired and not her own.
This started me thinking and searching
Something rung famililar with me, so I pulled out my concordance and found the text:
Isa 11:11-12
In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylon, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea. He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel: he will assemble the scattered people peoples of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.
Fetching RSS feed... please stand byThe question came to my mind " who put the period in?
After asking around I discovered that the original text had no divisions in it. The modern punctuations were added to make it easier for readers to follow.
I am not saying that it (the period mark) was in the incorrect place.
I am saying that without it, the text opens up to the possibility of a "more complex" meaning.
Consider that Jesus teaching in Isa 61:2 read half a verse (Luke 4:21) and closed the torah and said "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing"
The Lord doesn't always put the punctation exactly were we would or consider it as defining.
This world record flag could indeed be the fulfillment of a minor bible prophecy.
The Hiway of Holiness
Now let's take a look at Isaiah 35
7 The burning sand will become a pool,
the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
In the haunts where jackals once lay,
grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.
8 And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness.
The unclean will not journey on it;
it will be for those who walk in that Way;
wicked fools will not go about on it.
The Aravah Desert
So what about this desolate piece of land?
This lowest point on earth and its environs take up countless references and mysterious motifs concerning spiritual warfare and overcoming not just the enemy but also ones lower nature (see Psalms 63).
This area will once again become fresh and full of life for the healing of the nations by the river of God that will flow once again here (Ezekiel 47).
And this is also the same area that the famous Highway of Holiness will be found in Isaiah 35! No wonder some of the most significant Spiritual battles in history were fought here.... The enemy hates the message of holiness more than anything else!
The Sunday prior to Christmas
Masada Israel from : (rivers in the desert, flashsloods.com)
So what was to happen in the most desolate spot on the planet this holiday Sunday that would grab Dalit and my immediate attention?
Hundreds of unsaved Israeli's and drug rehab patients are gathering to volunteer.
Several unsaved orthodox rabbis will be there. Some of which are rebuilding the 3rd temple!
Both major news networks in Israel are featuring stories on this event.
No "leaders" of the Christian community of Israel are coming (they are too busy with their programs).
The Guinness Book of World records will be on location for this event!
Halleluiah Prophetic Global Ministries Intl. from the Philippines will be there (I like that name!)
And many humble and sweet believers from Korea and the Philippines will also be there to worship and pray!
So what happened at this exciting gathering?
It was the prophetic unveiling of the largest Israeli flag in the world
Now right in the middle of this event the Holy Spirit tells me (Scott Holtz) to walk to the center of the largest Israeli flag in the world and sound the shofar for the promise of Isaiah 35 to begin!
You will notice that Grace Galindez-Gupana (flag designer and sponsor) joins me in the center and then crumples to the tarmac of the runway under deep intercession for revival in Israel!What was to follow was some of the best street witnessing to unsaved Jewish people I have seen in years! They loved it!!!!
Please join us in prayer, for end-time revival for Israel
Let me know your thoughts on this subject

- Another intersting point in the Isa 11:11-12 text is the terminolgy used to describe this banner.
"He will raise a banner for the nations"
Notice that a single banner is being raised and it is not a banner of nations, but a single banner FOR the nations to see.
In the days that this text was written, they could never have imaged the present technology that allows the nations to visualize a single banner. Nor could they have imagined the existance of a record keeping organization such as guiness, which makes the banner significant in our world.
