This Lens Is What It Is

From the lens "It Is What It Is" - Just a Cliche?.

If you feel a little dizzy, don't feel bad. So do I. Don't worry, it doesn't last long. But maybe, sometime soon, you will feel the urge to worry, or get angry, or upset, and 5 little words will pop into your mind.

It is what it is.....there don't you feel better?

Leave a note...I love to hear from you.

What a great lens! I am bookmarking this so I can read it again and look into some of your recommended books and web sites. This all fits with my spiritual philosophy. Now if I could just live it every moment. Blessed!

It is what it is, which is "a beautiful lens." I agree on cliches but "it is what it is" is a good one. John Trudell, former leader of the AIM - American Indian Movement, has a song by that name that I love. I could hear it as I read this page.

My girlfriend said this phrase to me in a moment when I wanted desperately to change what was. In truth there was nothing I could do about the situation. The power lay completely with someone else. It was what it was. And still is. In that moment the phrase seemed anything but trite. Many, many times it has kept me centered about this sad situation in my life. It is what it is. I cannot change it. It has helped me to let go and move forward in my life.

Thought provoking but needs a bit more study of some of the points. Loved the video. Hugs

Everything happens for a reason... comments you hear, things you read, things you observe.. it is up to you to accept and move on.. let go.. [your lens is RIGHT on so many levels.. appeal, compassion, knowledge, strength] Thank you!

I can think of many situations where I was fussing about things, but would have been better off thinking, "it is what it is." My efforts to make everything perfect, sometimes just wear me out and unsettle the people around me. Time to let go of some of that. Thanks

I love this lens! Thank you so much for writing it, Diane. The pictures of the white wolf and your daughter looking at each other are amazing. I've rolled to my synchronicity lens.

I guess the message is so very obvious, we cannot control and organize everything in this small universe of ours, instead of worrying let us leave it at that - "It is what it is".

This lens watered my soul! Blessed by an angel (and kindred metaphysical spirit).

Your lense was so healing to me...I am going through a very painful time of separation and divorce, a major change of life which I know is healing personally but I'm also deeply mourning the passing of the good in what will now be what was..I thank you from my heart for sharing your thoughts and your inspiration.

I don't actually SAY "it is what it is" often, but I think and feel it in a general sort of way and view many situations like that. Sometimes, I don't accept "it is what it is" and, if I believe a situation is changeable, I might try. But I often prefer the "it is what it is" idea and then try to make "it" the best it can be. (Did that make any sense?) ANYway, I really enjoyed this lens. Very creative and full of meaning.

Love it. So pleased to have found your lenses. Will be lensrolling you to my similar lens, 'want to be happy?...' . I like what our prayer book says: "Things which are foolish in comparison to death are foolish in and of themselves."

I am not WIccan, but I am spiritual and I enjoy your lenses immensely. They are very well done and you seem to write well and put alot of thought into them, plus I happen to love the topics you choose as they are right up my alley.

Fantastic lens and outlook. Sometimes it really just "Is What It Is". I love your thoughts on "it was what it was" too.

I really enjoyed reading this lens! My husband say I say "It is what it is" way too often...but sometimes it just fits and like you sometimes it just helps me not to stress over something!

    Very well done lens! 5*
