Italian food is just so delicious. Italy has great culture and one of the best things about the culture is the food. Pasta. Just the name makes me think of sitting down to a great Italian dinner, smelling the flavors, drinking some fine wine and having a great time.

Many varieties and many influences

Italian food has many varieties and also many influences. It wouldn't be correct to say there is one typical Italian cousine, because the different regions of Italy have different styles.

Also, the influences on Italian food can reach as far as China, Turkey, Arab countries and Germany.

So it's important to realize that there is actually a wide variety of choices when talking about Italian food. Not only is the food regionalised but it also is seasonal. Usually each holiday has a special custom dish just as in the US we have Turkey on Thanksgiving, Italians have special dishes for each holiday.

Italian Cousine

Italian cuisine as a national cuisine known today has evolved through centuries of social and political changes, with its roots traced back to 4th century BC.
