The kinds of erasers fall under these catagories: Animals, Food, Transprotation, and Sports. Just some of the examples are pandas, hamsters, cake, carrots, buses, trucks, soccer, baseball, bowling, and babies. But remember, those were just some of the many erasers you can choose from on this page!
Now, if you are still thinking "What's so special about them?" than why don't you take a look at some of them? So, sit back, relax, look at some of these amazing erasers!

Who?
Now, before we see the cool IWAKO Erasers, Who even created erasers in the first place?Well, your answer is here.
On April 15, 1770, Joseph Priestley described this vegetable gum-like subatance that worked greatly for eraseing pencil markings. He said "I have seen a substance excellently adapted to the purpose of wiping from paper the mark of black lead pencil". He had dubbed rubber.
Edward Nairne was an English engineer who is recignised as the man who marketed rubber erasers first in 1770. He sold them for three shillings (about 30 cents) whcih was a high price for the natural half-inch rubber cubes.
Since rubber will go bad over time, Charles Goodyear discovered to process of vulcanization in 1839. This method would make rubber a more durable material.
On March 30, 1858, Hymen Lipman (who lived in Philladelphia, USA) got his first patent for putting an eraser on top of a pencil. This was soon invalidated because instead of making a totally new product, he just put two together.
As you can see, the eraser has come a long way.

Hi!
If I were to chose my two favorite things to do, they would be riding horses and acting on stage. I hope to be on Broadway someday, though still...
