IX Web Hosting
is a great company due to it's range of pricing plans; first time users such as myself can easily afford the basic plan while more experienced users can get unlimited disk space and 10TB bandwidth deals. Currently the price of the expert plan is at $3.95/month which is more than affordable for anyone. At this price you can go to Starbuck's once less per month and replace it with a website that can inform the public, entertain yourself, make money, etc. The prices are as follows:

Expert Plan - $3.95/month
Business Plan - $6.95/month
Unlimited Pro - $12.95/month

For these prices you'd expect little to no customer service or bandwidth but you'd be quite wrong, I didn't choose IX Webhosting by accident. I spent over a week and a half researching thousands of possible web hosts for my website simply because it was my first time through and I didn't want to only put one foot in the door. I am still in college yet I have removed the need of working during school to pay off my extraneous expenses through my website that has only been live for two months, and I expect it to continue to expand which is why I'm glad that I picked an IX Webhosting plan with plenty of bandwidth.

Bandwidth was one of the biggest factors for me as I plan to not only create an expand one domain, but I plan to run multiple websites each of which will eventually have bandwidth hungry traffic. For the price of each of the IX Webhosting plans I cannot find a better place to start a website for the first time or upgrade your growing site to a higher bandwidth limit.

In this section I will compare the rates, service, bandwidth, and other such factors between IX Webhosting and two major competitors: Yahoo and GoDaddy.

The expert plan for IX Webhosting is comprable to the cheapest GoDaddy plan: Economy. The price of the IXWebhosting expert plan is $3.95, the GoDaddy plan is $3.19.

The differences between them are clear though, there is 24 times as much bandwidth allotted for the website, 5 times as many e-mail accounts, IX Webhosting comes with a free domain registration, and IX Webhosting allows infinite sites to be hosted on this package. Yahoo offers no similar plan.

The IXWebhosting business plan costs $6.95 a month, GoDaddy costs $5.59 a month, and Yahoo costs a staggering $11.95 a month.

The IX Webhosting plan offers 8 TB of bandwidth, GoDaddy offers 1TB, and Yahoo offers 200GB. This alone would show that the competition is useless, especially Yahoo at $11.95 a month. On top of this IXWebhosting offers more dedicated IP addresses (8 to 1), more email accounts (by factors of 4-6), more web space (1TB for IX Webhosting, 100GB for GoDaddy, 5GB for Yahoo), and also it has 2 free domain registrations.

*As far as I'm concerned the IX Webhosting business plan is not only the best of the IXWebhosting plans but the best comprable plan online currently*

The IXWebhosting Unlimited Pro plan is the one I was most amazed at when I saw it, I have seen no plan similar to it on the internet for that price. It costs $12.95 a month, GoDaddy's Premium plan is $11.99 a month and Yahoo's standard plan is an absurd $19.95 a month.

IX Webhosting's most powerful plan has 10 TB of bandwidth compared to Yahoo's pitiful 400GB, and GoDaddy's 2TB deal. If you need extra bandwidth, the choice is clear in IX Webhosting's favor. The rest of the plan literally cannot be beat, it has offers unlimited web space compared to very limited space from GoDaddy and Yahoo, it allows unlimited:
subdomains, domains, email accounts, and FTP accounts along with 16 dedicated IP's compared to GoDaddy's 3, and Yahoo's 0.

The common denominator between all of these is that IXWebhosting costs slightly more than GoDaddy (typically a dollar or so) and $5+ less than Yahoo, while providing far far more bandwidth than either of these providers, more web space, and most importantly to me it is simple to use. IXWebhosting took me less than 15 minutes to learn how to use on my first time ever creating a website and even provided a "Site builder" package free which is what I used to build my entire website.

Customer service is a major factor in webhosting as there can be server side problems or personal issues with uploading files, etc. that needs to be taken care of. GoDaddy is probably the single most notorious place on the web for horrid customer service, they are understaffed, undertrained, and outsourced. IXWebhosting is 100% U.S. based and I've had nothing but positive experiences with their customer service, I haven't even been put on hold for the times I'm called in.

Overall my experience with IX Webhosting web hosting service has been nothing but positive, there is not a single extra feature that I wish my webhosting service had.

IXWebhosting provides you with your own FTP service, WebShell. Using this easy to learn service you manage all files within your site such as your index.html file that controls your homepage.

My favorite IX Webhosting feature is SiteStudio which is a free WYSIWYG creator that will fully build a professional looking website and upload it automatically to your FTP and domain name, through this process it literally takes no webmaster experience to create a website but for those with experience it opens up a whole new realm of possibilities.

Site statistics: IXWebhosting provides two different services to help you track statistics for your website, Webalizer and Modlogan.

Autoresponders: My current plan, the Expert IXWebhosting web hosting plan gives me the use of 2500 autoresponders.

Free domain registration: All of the IXWebhosting hosting plans include free domain names.

E-Mail: My current IXWebhosting plan gives me 2500 seperate email addresses.
