It's your attitude that matters
Here are MLM business rules I live and die by.
1. Commit to self development and learning. Always be reading something on self development.
2. Refuse to get discouraged, or let others discourage you. If you must take a 15 minute pity party, fine, but pick yourself back up.
3. Be coachable - great ideas are everywhere. Be willing to ask, listen and learn
4. Attend MLM company functions so you know the heart and soul of the business, management and the leaders.
5. Seek out others who want what you have to share and let go of those who do not.
That is it. Everything else can be done in different ways. You might build through parties, running ads, fundraisers, online, or whatever. You don't have to build like your upline or sponsor. Find your way, commit 100%.
Here are some action steps -
1. Decide to become a student - NEWS FLASH. You don't know all there is about building a successful business in MLM. I don't either. That's a relief because every day is a day I can learn and experience more through the success of others.
2. Know what determines your happiness and success - The weather? A new car? Other people? Your current relationship?
NO! YOU determine whether or not to be happy. Here's another newsflash - happiness is a CHOICE! Don't make excuses for why your business is not growing that reflect on anyone but you. Start today to choose happiness, start your day reading 10 minutes from a positive, uplifting book, and then do SOMETHING in your business.
3. Know your outcome - What EXACTLY do you want to accomplish? What are your goals? Intentions? What steps will that require to make it happen? Day dream for a bit and then get busy taking inspired action.
Here's a clue - People who reach the top are focused on exactly what they DO want and not what they DO NOT want.
Focus on taking action steps and getting a little better everyday.
Some earn $25,000 a year for doing something. Still, there are others earning $250,000 a year. Are they any better? Smarter? Better looking. The difference is what the top income earner EXPECTS and BELIEVES he/she should be paid.
Quit dabbling. It is now or never. Stop saying - Maybe I'll do it in 6 Months. Start saying - I'm going to do it TODAY.

Are you procrastinating in your MLM Business
TIME is money, you don't want to waste it.
The number one response - procrastination.
What is procrastination? It is your worst enemy - a time, energy and money thief. Let's dig deeper and see the exact cause.
Typically two issues are at the heart of procrastination -
Not knowing what to do and FEAR.
In order to make your MLM business a success, you must have a daily and weekly plan. And, you'll need to know what it is you do during that plan.
Goals come first, and from goals, come inspired action.
In my own business, there are three effective ways of making MLM money - Retailing the product (which is unique in MLM), fundraising and recruiting.
Most MLM'ers are in it for the recruiting aspect, and building a long term income. So, that means you talking to people about your business.
And, it's imperative to say the right thing. There is not a perfect script or magic saying that is going to make the difference. But, you can learn to talk to people effectively, from the heart, without "pitching" them.
Start with your "hot button." What was it that brought you into the business. Write it out without sounding like a sales person. Pretend that you will get no monetary reward if the person chooses to get involved. Develop your perfect MLM script from there.
Decide how, when, where and on whom you are going to deliver that script. It may mean making a list of people you know; talking to people while you are out; joining a business networking group; buying lead lists; running ads, etc. YOU decide which methods you will use.
From there, you will chart out a daily action plan for getting yourself out in front of, or on the phone with potential prospects. Notice I said action plan. You must TAKE ACTION to make this happen. It won't just miraculously show up.
If you still feel challenged, get a buddy. Team up with someone and work together to call leads, go out and meet people, run ads, or whatever. Just like working out, an accountability buddy can inspire action.
And, ask yourself this - How do I feel when I procrastinate; do not take action in my business? How do I feel when I do? Which answer makes you feel more happy, productive and inspired?
Do I want to feel good about myself and business everyday? YES. Then what is your choice going to be today? Action or Procrastination? Your success lies in that answer.

Fears in your MLM Business
Fear, the next common MLM business challenge.
Well, when we begin delving to the bottom, this is a good question.
Most people whom I have spoken with tell me they are fearful of not knowing what to say to a prospect about their MLM business or product.
Well, here's a big clue - there is no perfect script or magic line that is going to be the answer to building your business successfully. There is, however, your perfect story, that is going to hit the right people at the right time.
Your perfect story consists of developing your "speech" around your reasons for joining the business or trying the product for the first time.
Think about your MLM business and your product. What do you LOVE about both? Develop a simple paragraph around these two things and share that with people. Share it passionately and from the heart%u2026..with no hype.
No hype means absolutely do NOT tell people you have the best ANYTHING. Not the best product, best pay plan, best upline, best training, etc. When you do this, people's eyes begin to glaze over because they have heard this dozens of times from dozens of people.
Do yourself a favor - allow your prospect to decide if anything about what you are offering is a BEST for him or her.
Spend some time developing your STORY and try it out on a few people. Watch how things change.
Now, another common fear is around MLM success. Many people fear success deep down.
I know I did and it was a real business challenge. I didn't realize it until I did some soul searching and used a journal to record my thoughts about things.
My fears of success involved fearing that I would not be able to handle the demands of a successful business. As a mother of small children, this did worry me.
I also feared that I would not be able to handle the leadership skills that a successful MLM business would demand to last for the long haul.
Does any of this seem familiar?
Here are some things I realized. First, kids grow right along with you and the more you involve your children in your business, the more they will work with you in meeting and handling any challenges.
Second, you will grow personally in direct proportion to your team and your paycheck.
Seriously, you can take my word for that one!

Coaching Yourself
Pay attention to your small voice within and coach yourself to success
She expressed interest in moving forward but was taking no steps to do so, and was paralyzed by in-action.
So, I asked her - "How do you FEEL when you are wanting to succeed and yet not taking steps to make it happen?"
Of course, she answered that it made her feel terrible, guilty, like a loser, and so on.
"Well, do you LIKE feeling that way and do you want to continue to feel that way?"
Recognition and acknowledgment of a weakness is the first and GREATEST step toward resolving it.
We laid out some simple steps she could take that day to move forward in some small way in this business and feel successful! And, in doing this, I gave her some tools for coaching herself through procrastination.
Are you having any of these same thoughts in your business? Are you FEELING this same way?
I have learned to gauge my success based around the way I feel and the thoughts I am CHOOSING to run through my head.
Here is something for you to try - pay attention to your - Feel-O-Meter. That is, pay attention to how you are feeling each hour of the day. If you sit down to make calls to prospects, check your Feel-O-Meter. Make sure you are on the high side of the chart or DO NOT MAKE THE CALLS.
And, if you find that you are on the low side, make a conscious decision to change the way you feel. You CAN change the way you feel. One fast way to do this is to think of the happiest day of your life and let that feeling overtake you.
When you are feeling exhilarated and in control, then begin to make those calls.
This is one small method you can use to coach yourself to success.
Another is to ask yourself for guidance.
If you are sitting down to write out that "perfect script" to say to prospects, think about how YOU would like to be introduced to your business. Think about word choices and ways of saying things that might be a turn off to you.
Personally, I am turned off by any hypey language or claims of having the BEST of anything. So, when someone begins to talk to me in this way, I immediately begin to shut down.
What turns you off in the prospecting process? Whatever it is, do not include it in what you say, even if your sponsor swears by it.
Coach yourself to success just by being WHO and WHAT you are. You have the answers inside. Just ask your "master counsel" and then LISTEN!
