Far too many capital letters for easy reading. But the general thrust of the lens is great!

My daughter likes Shar-peis. I prefer cats. But we both support spay/neuter and rescue/adopt. All those animals want is to love and be loved. Good job on the lens.

    Hey Jackson,

Thanks for the nice letter. I had no idea you were doing so much rescue work. I've got two dogs, or rather, they have me. One has an injured eye right now so I took him to the vet yesterday. I also had no idea you were recommending my books on your site. That's just flat-out generous and I thank you for it. I often have dogs in my books but not always. Keep up the good work!

What a nice site - thank you for letting me know about it and the invite. I told some of my friends at My Space to come check you out. I really admire what you do for the dogs, and was happy to learn that you sometimes put cats on your transports. How sad that mother dog and her 11 puppies all had a contagious and terminal disease; even worse, what happened to the healthy dogs that travelled with them? Are they OK? Please keep working so hard for your admirable cause. I think I might have to join Facebook now!

    Hey Jackson!

I swear I saw you and your human, with your sister, together with about 9 Shar-Pei, on Long Beach Island this weekend! Was it really you and your sister's rescue? You are very photogenic, but even more handsome in person. I recognized you from your myspace profile pic! Boy, what a pack! You looked like you all were coming back from a run on the beach. What a lucky dog, or dogs, really! My dog was so jealous. I also saw the sign for the rescue under your sister's office sign at Sure Rehab. Now that I have the number and website info, you can expect my info soon to either donate my time, foster, or maybe adopt a Shar-Pei; they were all gorgeous, and I could tell they are very well cared for! My dog is getting on in years, and it's time to get him a companion - a rescued Shar-Pei would be perfect!
  • Preciosredtx Feb 1, 2009 @ 5:31 pm | delete
I am so glad to see your new site....it is gorgeous. I hope all is going well with your rescue. Wish you all the success with your plight for the Sharpeis and Boxers in the world!!!

Hi! So happy to visit your site again, and in only 10 days! WE GOT OUR SHAR-PEI!!! Boy, are you guys thorough in your home and vet checks! Glad we passed with flying colors. We have always had dogs, so we thought we were pretty safe! Got to meet Jackson the Boxer and his Mom for the home check; what a fantastic Boxer (and Mom, too!). Don't know how she ever found our house out here in the woods!

So happy to be a part of your rescue efforts, and to have our new Shar-Pei delivered by none other than Jackson the Boxer himself, and his Shar-Pei cousin yesterday Thanks for the "starter kit" you sent, too. We weren't quite sure what food to use, etc., but you included a bag, and a bed, toys, and lots of info, and we appreciate it. PLUS making sure she was spade, and her staples removed before we got her was a relief. Saved us a lot of money, and we appreciate it.

Thanks for everything, but mostly the speed, as promised! Still thinking of the right name, but it will be Chinese!
  • dogrescue Feb 1, 2009 @ 3:39 pm | delete
Beautiful page! Saw You On TV - Animal Planet's "Dogs 101." Why did they say a "dog for adults"? Ling loves the kids!

We, too, adopted a Shar-Pei from your Rescue. I don't think people know how hard you work to save the dogs - all on your own time and donations! We can't thank you enough for the endless support you gave us during the adoption process, and how you took care of Ling-Ling's shots, medical problems, and surgery BEFORE we got her! Also, the Pei "doggie bag" she came with got us off to a great start; we knew what to feed her, etc., and appreciate the month's supply of medicine the vet prescribed. It cost a fortune, and are grateful you provided it to us at no cost!

If I send you an e-mail, can I get tickets for your annual cancer "SUPPORT" event early? We didn't get to come last year due to the quick sell-out, and really missed being there. I know it's not until the 1st Saturday in June, but can't hurt to ask!

PS: forgot the "R" on "dogrescue" - Dog Rescuer

    Hi Jackson,
Your site is real nice, just like your Facebook and My Space pages. Hope you get another 7,500 friends at this place, like you have on My Space! Thanks for the "I Love My Dogs" magnets shaped like a bone and the one shaped like a paw. They are awesome, and everyone wants to know where I got them; they can't believe how cheap they cost either. I know your human is out of New York at the moment, with her sister, saving a bunch of dogs and puppies, with other rescue workers, that came up in a trailer from the deep south. See, I do read your blogs!!! Keep saving the dogs; we need more selfless people in the world! I would say "Your Biggest Fan!," but someone already stole that, so I'll say: Your Bestest Supporter!!!

    Shar-Pei-Boxer Lover

    Hi There,
Ran across your info while looking for a Shar-Pei to adopt, and now feel fortunate I landed "on you!" Went to the sharpeirescueofva.org site you recommended, and linked through the surerehab site, as well. Got tons of useful info, and was able to download an adoption application. Also got some items from your cafe press place. Figured it's never too early to get started, right! Your Valentine's Day section is really funny - and SO true (for a lot of us!). Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi," and I admire what you do. There would be tons more of stray, homeless, sick, and unloved dogs without your rescue. Can't wait to get my Shar-Pei. How long to you think it will take?

    Hi,

I love Jackson the Boxer; his human sister and his human work tirelessly to rescue and save dogs all up and down the East Coast! I have met Jackson and his whole "family," and I know their whole group is dedicated to saving dogs. We support all their efforts, and have personally seen some of the "disasters" who have been brought back to life from dire circumstances. It's unbelievable what some humans will do to helpless dogs. It's also wonderful that they use a fantastic vet, who I have also personally met! In fact, Jackson's human and his sister just returned from the vet's at 8PM, after bringing in three females to get their staples out from being spayed! Seems their days never end! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS! And, just wanted to let you know my order from cafepress arrived; wonderful stuff - great quality - everyone's happy, even the dog, who also got a Tee shirt! KUDOS!

Rob, again! Sorry, I forgot to tell you I saw you on Dogs 101 on Animal Planet; it was awesome. It was weird to see someone I actually met in person the TV!!! I think they are showing it again on Jan 18 at 3:00. I think Shar-Peis are the 3rd dog on the show. I know it came on after the half hour. I'm sure they probably gave you a copy, but thought you might want to know, just in case. How did they let you on the beach during high season? You must have friends in high places, Ha! Ha! Can't wait to catch it again. I see something new each time, and this will be the 4th time I'm going to watch it.

    Hi!

Found your link through Facebook. Wanted to say keep up your great rescue work. I met you on LBI last fall at your "Barktober Fest" event; what a great time we all had! Enjoyed meeting all 8 of your own foster dogs, and the other 2 that were up for adoption. Since then, my adoption papers have been accepted ! We had a great home visit with your sister and Jackson; they were both fantasticr! Now just waiting to get one of your Shar-Peis to his forever home, since I am sad to report that Wrinkles went to Rainbow Bridge. It was expected, since he was very sick and failing when I saw you. But, now we're ready to adopt another! A good friend of mine actually has one of your rescued Shar-Peis - small world! She was so impressed with the thoroughness and compassion of your rescue, and highly recommended you to get my new dog from. Thanks also for your speed in answering my many e-mails! Hope I didn't ask a lot of stupid question! Love the Valentine's stuff at CafePress! Rob

    Hey, Jackson!
It seems you're everywhere, raising money for your rescues! I have personally bought many items from Jackson's Cafe Press Rescue Store; great quality - great prices relative to others; did most of my holiday shopping there - with no returns!

Have seen Jackson's human's sister's Shar-Pei Rescue featured on Animal Planet, on their new show called "Dogs 101." It was interesting, and I leanred a lot I didn't know about those wrinkle dogs and all the problems they can have medically. Saw all her rescue dogs on the beach, right in front of the Atlantic Ocean. Doesn't surprise me that both Jackson's human, and his human's sister work in healthcare; perhaps that's why they are so giving to others.

Glad to see you're seeking all avenues to raise funds for your most worthy causes! And, thanks for making the customized bumper stickers for me; I liked them so much, I bought 6, and gave gave them to my relatives with cars! Bought your personal one to help spread the word!
