Jacuzzi Hot Tubs Have Proven Health Benefits
If you have ever been in a hot tub you already know that sitting in one is a great way to relax, relieve stress and connect with friends and loved ones. Just the stress relief that hot tubs provide is in itself a great benefit to you health.
But hot tubs have health benefits for older adults and athletes as well. Soaking in a hot tub can ease aches and soreness in joints, temporarily relieve arthritis pain, and help those recovering from injuries and other physical ailments.
The relaxation that hot tubs provide can also help with migraines, stress and anxiety. Many people claim that sitting in the hot tub right before bed time helps them fall asleep easier and stay asleep longer.
While sitting in a hot tub, your whole body relaxes, your skin and muscles loosen up, and your blood circulation even increases. If you are looking for some non-medicinal relief for your aches and pains, try a Jacuzzi hot tub. It's probably the most fun you will ever have curing what ails you.
Hot Tub Accessories Make Jacuzzis Even MORE FUN!
Jacuzzi hot tubs are incredibly fun by yourself or with friends, but hot tub accessories can add on to the fun. Because Jacuzzi hot tubs are so popular, there is now a wide selection of hot tub accessories and additional parts that can improve the hot tub experience.
There are many accessories available to go on the outside of your hot tub such as side bars that fit against the side of your tub and allow you to bring food or drinks with you into the tub without having to hold them or risk spills. You can also find shelves and racks that hook onto the side of your hot tub to hold your towels, bathrobes, etc. within arms reach.
If you like listening to music while enjoying your time in the hot tub, consider the Jacuzzi J-400 Designer Collection hot tub. It has an iPod docking station already built into the hot tub, so you can enjoy all of your favorite music without getting in and out of the hot tub to skip songs you'd rather not listen to.
Water resistant hot tub pillows offer a convenient neck rest while you soak in the hot water. And there are a plethora of waterproof games and toys such as playing cards, board games and more that you can take in the hot tub with you to occupy your time in the Jacuzzi.

Hot Tubs Are Easy to Maintain
Many people worry about how hygienic hot tubs are, and how to avoid the bacteria that are known to accumulate in warm water environments. It's actually quite easy to clean and maintain your hot tubs though and make it enjoyable all year round.
Look out for the following clues that you may have to clean your hot tub, and follow the maintenance tips to keep a clean, healthy hot tub. Remember to always wear proper protective gear when handling hot tub chemicals and cleaning filters.
Extra Foamy Water:
Extra foamy water in your hot tub could mean that it is too soft, contaminated, or has a high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) level. To fix extra foamy water add a stain and scale preventative, pH or Alkalinity Up and sanitizers to the water in your hot tub.
Discolored Water:
If the water in your hot tub starts to look brown, green, yellow, or dingy look to it, it could be several problems.
You may have a high mineral count, in which case you will need to add a stain and scale preventative.
Yellow water typically means the balance of the water is off. Test the alkaline level and add pH or Alkalinity Up to the hot tub water to clarify it.
Green water could mean algae growth. Check the sanitizer level and add some more sanitizer if it is low.
Cloudy Water:
If the water in your hot tub is cloudy, try cleaning the filter to remove any dirt and particles. It also may have a high TDS level. If this is the case, it is recommended that the hot tub be completely drained and refilled.
Test for the pH level in the tub. If it is not at the correct level, use pH solution to bring it to the correct level. If it has a high calcium level, drain the hot tub halfway then refill.
White Scaly Deposits
White scaly deposits indicate low sanitizer level in the water. This can be improved simply by adding sanitizer to the hot tub.
Ring Around the Hot Tub
A ring around your hot tub could mean filtration problems. Check the filters and clean them thoroughly. It could also mean there are too many oils present in the water. Adding a chemical cleanser should clear up the ring quickly.
Skin Irritations after Using the Hot Tub
If your skin is irritated after using the hot tub, it could mean a low sanitizer level. Test for this and add sanitizer if necessary.
It could also mean you are staying in the Jacuzzi hot tub too long or soaking for too long at temperatures that are too high. Check your manuals, dealer or doctor for ideal duration of use and temperature.
Remember to always wait the recommended time after the addition of chemicals or cleansers to your hot tub (it should say on the bottle or box how long to wait).
