Well before I became a Squidoo lensmaster, I was a Google blogger ...

Yes, I've been blogging online for several years! However, it was really thanks to Squidoo that I became a bit more prolific at blogging -- if you could call it that! I'm not in the league of some bloggers who make it a ritual to post daily, but I do have my days when it's nothin' but 'yada, yada, yada.'

For the most part, I'm known verbally as a 'woman of few words.' But, you get me passionate about somethin' or riled up, well I can then become pretty prolific when it comes to the 'written word.'

So, why this lens? First of all, I wanted to tell my Squidoo friends and visitors that I do have a blog! Obviously. ;-) Secondly, you may have read someplace here on Squidoo about blogging and what a good thing it is to blog and talk about your lenses on your blog. And, it's a good thing to talk about other people's lenses on your blog too!

My very first blog post was on December 22, 2004, inspired by a Microsoft Live Meeting sponsored webinar entitled "Blogging For Business" presented by Jim Coudal of Coudal Partners and Anil Dash of Six Apart. I got the message about blogging online being a GOOD THING!

P.S. I'd love to have you participate in my lens by adding your blog!

Ah, Seth Godin is on my bookshelf ...

My very first blog post :: Welcome to my Blog! -- December 22, 2004

What do you post to your first entry for a daily blog? Well, briefly, let me tell you why I decided to launch this blog.

Recently, I attended a Microsoft Live Meeting sponsored webinar entitled "Blogging For Business." It was presented by Jim Coudal of Coudal Partners and Anil Dash of Six Apart. It was a well spent one hour of interactive discussions on the merits of blogging.

For those of you who are late adopters of this form of communication, I'll share some links below with resources to help you get started.

Blogging is something you NEED to make time for. With so many things going on in a person's life, you just have to set aside a certain amount of time during the day to do it. I don't blog every day, but I blog usually about every 2-3 days. The thing about blogging is that you should only blog about things that interest you -- otherwise you will burn out fast and likely never return to your blog anymore. Nice lens Julie! :)
