Drop me a line ... Are you into cats like Jaguar Julie the Cat Lady?

I hear tell that Frankie is a Cat Woman!

From the lens I am JaguarJulie Cat Lady.

Are you active with your local Humane Society? Donated recently? Have you adopted a homeless pet? Considering adoption of a homeless pet?

Good for you and all the work you do for the feral cats. We have a real problem with them in our little rural town. People think trapping the answer, but the only real solution is to spay/nueter and release. Loved seeing all the cat cuteness.

Ah yes, I received my last "stray" kitten as an 80th birthday gift from my youngest daughter in Ohio. Even went up there last year to bring him back to live here in Florida. Are we nuts? The only problem with house pets is the cost of their food has risen so dramatically at the grocery store I will soon have to pass the hat for donations myself.
And, let me say that we ought to name this year of 2010 as the year of the flea!!!!!

As your Mom knows-I LOVE cats. I have 6 and all of them are foundlings (and 1 rescured dog). Only 2 are not from the feral cats in Georgia, those 2 are from here in Florida. I had my own cat and dog rescue in Georgia-we had a big invisible sign at our house that said "Drop your unwanted pet here". 22 dogs and puppies and about 30 cats and kittens and one onery goat later I had an on going relationship with a local vet for spay and neuter and adoption. I'm still taking care of strays here but it's not as busy as it was in Georgia. I seldom had a problem getting friendly with the feral cats, in fact several of them would come to my house and have their kittens in the permanet safe birthing bos I had in the car port--kid and dog proof. I do the best I can here. I learned long ago that if I volunteer at a shelter I have this problems of wanting to take most of them home-especially the older ones that no one seems to want. Say Hi to your Mom for me!

Hey Dottie! Ah, yes ... that big invisible sign, "Drop your unwanted pet here." It surely seems that way you know? Over the past 5 or so years, when NEW cats have shown up to the colony, we wonder just that. Of late, we have a big orange tomcat and a fluffy female maine coon cat who were the last two "fixed" cats. They've become super loving and appreciative AND hang around throughout the day. It is almost a full-time job. I'll tell Mom you said Hi and that you dropped by today! Thanks Dottie.

Great lens on your love to cats and your deep involvement and passion. I've always liked animals. We grew up with a cat and had a dog too. I don't have any pets at the moment because I'm single and one the move most of the time. It's a big responsibility to have a pet because it's important to take good care of them. Of course cats are much easier to take care off than dogs, but it's still a responsibility one must take seriously. You've created a ton of lenses and I will be back to check more of them. Have fanned you for now. Keep up the great work Cat Lady - oh and by the way, I like the name Jaguar Julie! :)

Hi Julie - I am a cat fan too - as well as a fan of other animals. I most definitely have adopted homeless pets, in fact that is where my own pets came from for the most part. What a lovely lens - lovely lady too. =)

It takes a precious soul to be such an angel. As I read through this lens I found the heart of tigress and the love of a wonderful lady. It is nice to know there are people who give of themselves to Gods creatures. ~ Bless you, Julie~

I love cats and always had at least one, but adopted 2 dogs and already have tortoise who is 18 so after the last one left us, I decided to just raise what I have for awhile....still I share your obsession with helping spay and neuter all pets! Yes, Humane Society is one of my charities too.5*

    hello, Julie,
I am a cat lady too. We found a feral baby kitty, about 3 weeks old that someone or some mummy cat had abandoned. It took 3 weeks of feeding her in our yard and eventually we trapped her and after two weeks she was part of the family. She was very reluctant to go outside when she first adopted us, maybe she thought we would lock her out.

She was spayed and now 'Tilly' is one of the family and occasionally brings a friend home for supper. Loved your lens, best wishes Minky.

What an amazing lens! You should be so proud of yourself for what you have done for kitties in your community. It's really inspiring, and it makes me feel wonderful to know that there are people like you doing this in the world. All three of my kitties were strays, and they are my ultimate companions. I'd love for you to check out the lens that I did on them when you have a chance. I am definitely going to favorite your lens! Thanks again, 5 stars.

Both of our pets are rescue babies. Otto was left for dead along the roadside and Mascara, my kitty, was dumped behind the dumpster at school. They are a part of our family now.
    You have some pretty babies.
    Great lens

My new adoptees are just about old enough to be neutered now. Thank heavens for low cost spay/neuter clinics!

Great lens, great cause. We took in a mom and 3 of her kittens here in the UK. The kittens are nearly 3 now.

We use to have 9 cats that were all strays. When I was growing up, I would bring them home. A couple of dogs too! Well, of course we could not keep them all. Thanks for stopping by my holistic pet lens. We just switched my Karma over to a grain free diet which she seems to like... I enjoy lens on animals.
