Squidoo Giant Squid 100 Club : Charter Member 2007

Yes, you too can be a Giant Squid on Squidoo. When the call went out to us lensmasters here on Squidoo, the challenge was to create 100 interesting and topical lenses in order to earn the honor of being a Giant Squid. I do believe a few lensmasters, if not a lot, offered a bit of mild protest as "thee asketh too mucheth! 100 lenses, how can I accomplish that?" I do want to be a Giant Squid you know!

Well, the mighty powers that be decided to scale back the challenge to a mere 50 lenses for becoming a Giant Squid. However, for me sitting at some 3 dozen, that number was still a wee challenge what with a normal 8-5 job. I honkered down and in no time was past the 50, and then 75 was in sight! August 31, 2007 was quickly approaching and I was ALMOST at 100. Then, the unthinkable happened ... a hard drive crash!

However, I did what I had to do to accomplish my goal and surpassed the 100 quality lenses to be awarded the ranks of Giant Squid 100 Club. And, I was among a few very worthy lensmasters aka Giant Squids who qualified to be inducted into the noteworthy and illustrious Giant Squid 100 Club -- Charter Member 2007!!! Today, I have been an active Squidoo lensmaster for way OVER 5.5 years and have authored well over 810 lenses!

Yowzers!!! Oh, can't wait for induction into the Giant Squid 200 Club AND the Giant Squid 300 Club. A little birdie told me we are in for some surprises folks!
