What 3 lenses of Jaguar Julie's are lenses of the day? And how can I have one too?
Well, thanks for dropping by my lens that showcases my 3 LOTDs -- lenses of the day. Yes, I've been honored on 3 separate occasions to have a lens of the day. Those have come over the past 2-1/4 years of being a member of Squidoo and authoring over 370 lenses!
I love Squidoo and have loved this place since March 2006. With all the social networking platforms and TMI, that's an eternity in internet time. For those who know me through my various Squidoo lenses, you've probably heard that I came to Squidoo through BzzAgent! "Thank goodness for small favors and BzzAgent Jono too!" If it wasn't for BzzAgent, I don't know WHAT I would have done with myself these past 2-1/4 years!
Have you had a LOTD yet?
If you haven't, don't give up ... it CAN happen!
Trust me, I was more than a little HONORED and SURPRISED when I spotted my Superhero tribute lens showcasing my grandmother, Julia Nagy had earned LOTD on my birthday of all days!

LOTD #2 :: the FIRST Lensography?
Yes, my lensography is the first lensography to earn the humble honor of LOTD. The week that I won was followed by other cool lensmaster's lensographies winning LOTDs!
Thank you Squidoo and all my readers, fans, and supporters!

March 7, 2008 :: Jaguar Julie Lensography
I don't remember who made the first Lensography lens, but what a cool way to set up your own Squidoo Hall of Fame. It's kind of like a resume that ate its Wheaties.
Shortly after the first one appeared, there were 10 more. And 10 more. And now hundreds of our top lensmasters have Lensographies to highlight and annotate their bodies of work here on Squidoo.
I'll be featuring a few of them this week. For starters, check out Jaguar Julie's Lensography. She's got 303 lenses (303!!), and this page is not only a neat way to categorize some of those... it's also a stunning testament to the whole Giant Squids program. When quality AND quantity intersect, you've got something pretty remarkable on your hands. Jaguar Julie is the consummate Giant: curious, eager to experiment with new tools, passionate and gracious. --Posted March 11th, 2008 by Megan Casey.

LOTD #1 :: A migraine headache ...
I waited 1 year before I created this lens as I wanted to be sure to have all my facts and present an accurate story.

June 8, 2006 :: To Catch A Thief
Since then she has created dozens of really fascinating perspectives on a unique range of interests.
One such lens (in addition to her Polka Dots lens and one on Goulash--yes, Goulash!) is today's Lens of the Day: To Catch A Thief.
I'll let the lens intro tell you what this one's about:
"In June 2005, I was the victim of identity theft and credit card fraud that put my world into a tizzy for quite some time. Unless this has happened to you, you just can't imagine what a headache it can be with all the steps you have to take to clear up the mess...In this lens, I hope to give you a clue to what you can do if it happens to you. I will give you tips on what worked for me "To Catch a Thief" in a very short period of time."
I hope no one will ever need this lens, but when you do, I'm betting you'll be grateful to Julie for sharing! --Posted June 8th, 2006 by Megan Casey.

ZBT
I believe you were the very first person to visit my lens. Julie, I didn't even "get it" - I came here looking for some answers, and 'lo and behold... I found what I was looking for (and what a blessing, too - and I say that now, not having actually felt the real effects of what this Squidoo thin can do, or is about). So, yes... You are my new Rock Star! That "title" isn't something that I take lightly, either. My first "Rock Star" is my mentor, a SERIOUS catering industry maven that I love to pieces. Nice job, Julie. You are always an inspiration to others. I've been honored with 2 LOTDs, both for lenses I would never have suspected of being eligible. You just never know. Blessings to you! Posted September 17, 2008 |

Of course I want to be chosen as LOTD - I think it's the highest honor in squidoo. I'm too shy to actually submit lenses for LOTD though... Posted June 30, 2008 |
How'd that lens get selected LOTD???
Every weekday (or nearly that) Squidoo's Editor in Chief, Megan Casey, highlights a lens that stands out from the crowd, a lens that is unique in topic, approach, personality, tools or timing. Or, you know, just a lens that made her guffaw a little.
Footnote: LOTD
If you write passionately about something that is meaningful to you, you are more apt to have a LOTD.
