How to make Jamie Oliver's Italian Food

Jamie Oliver's first big job as a chef was at the famous River Cafe in London, famous for it's modern Italian food.Now Jamie Oliver has his own string of Italian Restaurants.
In July 2009 we were staying in the beautiful city of Bath. We have stayed there many times before, and have eaten some great meals there. This time, it was a Monday night, and lots of our favorite restaurants have the night off on a Monday. We knew that there was a "Jamie's Italian" in Bath, and headed down there. You couldn't pre book, and the queue snaked around the block. We hate a queue, so we walked around Bath, went to our favorite pub , and decided to try again. No queue!
In we went. The atmosphere was buzzy, the place hummed, but what would the food be like?
Well, actually, it was pretty good!
Jamie has starters called a Jamie's antipasti plank- a selection of anitpasti on a wooden plank- of course!
We had one meat anitpasto plank, and one vegetable plank. The quality of the ingredients was very high- as you would expect from Jamie Oliver, who cares deeply about sourcing his food.
Here is a sample of the starter menu form Jamie's Italian.

SEASONAL MEAT ANTIPASTI PLANK
Seasonal cured meat, Tuscan fennel salami, pistachio mortadella, San Daniele prosciutto and Schiacciata piccante
Italian cheeses, buffalo mozzarella, pecorino with amazing chilli jam
Pickles, curly green chillies, green and black olives
Salad, Italian coleslaw with lemon and mint

VEGETABLE ANTIPASTI PLANK
Seasonal vegetables, sliced, chargrilled and marinated
Italian cheeses, buffalo mozzarella, pecorino with amazing chilli jam
Pickles, curly green chillies, green and black olives and aubergine caponata
Salad, Italian coleslaw with lemon and mint

ARTISAN MEAT BOARDS
Choose one from -
English wild boar salami - The full-on character of this boar meat would give the finest Milano a real run-for-its-money!
Truffle Salami - Coarse salami, mildly flavoured with truffle and black pepper.
Levonetto Tondo - Small loaf-shaped. The finely minced mix is lightly spicy. It's flavour is mild and delicate.

CRISPY SQUID
with really garlicky aoli
MOZZARELLA DI BUFALA
with lush basil pesto
BAKED CHESTNUT MUSHROOMS
with smoked scamorza cheese
GRILLED AND CHILLED MARINATED SEASONAL VEGETABLES
with lemon, chilli and mint
BABY MOZZARELLA
with old school tomato salad
CRISPY POLENTA CHIPS
with rosemary salt and parmesan
COURGETTE FRITTI
with the creamiest whipped chickpea, anchovies and olive oil dressing
SMOKEY MOZZARELLA ARANCINI
crispy fried rice balls stuffed with mozzarella and porcini mushrooms served with arrabiata dressing
