Jamie's Handmade Treasures

I'd like to take a few minutes to let everyone know about the recent changes and happenings going on with Jamie's Handmade Treasures.

Before the end of last year I had planned to produce and send out a mail order catalog to those of you on my mailing list. I was also in the process of updating the site to be more user friendly and have a more clean and professional look overall. This would allow the pages to load faster and provide, you the customers, with a much better shopping experience.

All of this came to an abrupt stop when my old computer crashed the night I was finalizing everything and making backups of it all. This was sometime back in November. I took what orders I could create for the holiday season and was able to finish all of them on time, working dilligently upto the very last minute, literally. With hardly any sleep I kept going. Finally crashed for a short nap Christmas eve and decided it was time to enjoy my holiday.

I spent Christmas with my loved ones. I knew I was getting a new computer but was told it wouldn't arrive until after January 17th. I wasn't please but just figured it was what it was and that it was out of my control. To my surprise when I finally came home to share Christmas with my immediate family, my computer was all wrapped up under the tree.

I was so relieved. I thought with a new computer nothing could hold me back. Little did I know just how much Windows Vista would end up making me relearn how to do everything. Just another lil obstacle to overcome. Not a huge deal. Here it is January and by now I have about two 3rds of the website transferred over already. I was gonna launch it all at once but after having to deal with the crash and whatnot I figured it would be better to publish it as I finish each page.

So now if you visit my website www.jamieshandmadetreasures.com you'll see part of the site updated and part that still needs updating. The pages with white backgrounds are from the new site and the purple pages are the old site. You can still purchase everything listed for sale. None of that will be interrupted.

I plan to have a possible launch of my mail order catalog in time for Valentine's Day, but may push the deadline back slightly farther to ensure you, the customers, only the best possible shopping experience. I will however be having a VDAY SALE. Members of my mailinglist will receive notice of an exclusive presale that only they can get certain discounts on items not available to the general public until after VDAY.
