Jane Lynch (born July 14, 1960) is an American writer, actress, comedian, and singer best known for her roles in Christopher Guest comedies such as Best in Show, Charlie Harper's sarcastic psychologist in Two and a Half Men, and Judd Apatow comedies like The 40-Year-Old Virgin. She is currently starring in the Fox comedy Glee.

Jane performed her own singing and played guitar in the 2003 folk-music spoof A Mighty Wind. She has a lovely singing voice and has also sung in the Holly Hobbie DVD's for children.
