The Pride and Prejudice Fanfiction I Favour
There are many stories I haven't read yet, so obviously this can't be a list of all the best fanfics out there, but it does include some of the best I've found so far. I enjoy a good characterisation of Lizzy and Darcy, and if that's what you're looking for in Jane Austen fanfiction I think you might enjoy these as much as I did.
The stories are listed randomly and this list is incomplete. I'll try to add to it whenever time allows.

Pride and Prejudice Fanfiction by multiple authors

This story leaves the book at the point where Mr. Darcy is finalizing arrangements for the marriage of Miss Lydia Bennet in London, but rather than going on to Netherfield with Bingley, he decides to visit his friend in his cottage located in South Scotland. Darcy and Elizabeth need to find their way to each other without Lady Catherine's intervention.

After much misunderstanding of each other, some unintentional interference by well-meaning friends and family, and some meddling by a few others as well, Darcy and Elizabeth have finally found their way to one another. He has proposed and she has most happily accepted. They have agreed to keep the joyous news to themselves until he receives official consent from her father. However, before he goes off to secure it, some loose ends must be tied up. This story begins exactly where Scotch and Sirens left off, only this story's main plot is not as much involved with scotch and siren as it is with Bath and Betrothals.

- This story is about pride, honour and duty. There is nothing wrong with the latter two as long as they are based on good premises. But just as anything else that has a wrong basis to it, even honour and duty can be destructive when based on pride. Discover what happens when Darcy's pride takes the better of him.
There's a very hot naughty bit at the end of the story!

- This story hinges around the force of passion, it conjectures how desire might disrupt in the world of 1812. It begins with a rather different version of events in April, in Mr Collins' parlour, when propriety is briefly breached and the conventions of Jane Austen's perfect novel are challenged by matters usually dealt with at that time in French rather than English fictions. The rest is as the saying goes, about the powers of history and imagination.

- The Derbyshire Writers' Guild is an archive of writings based on Austen's books. I check it very rarely because it's difficult to find a good story among all of those they have there, but if you have a lot of time there's really plenty of them.

Help... Was reading a 77 chapter modern Darcy and lizzt saga..where Darcy was a concert pianist and lizzy was a music teacher....it was here on squiddo/ now i cant find it....i was at chapter 55!!!!! help me find it....

I have problems with figuring out how this place works, but I will give it a try.
I am very glad I've found this site. I've been reading JAFF for some time already, but for the past several months I just can't stop to think that there is a growing number of stories quite distant from original. And that makes me feel very melancholic, as I strongly prefer stories, where my favorite hero and heroine are still recognizable not only by names, but mostly on their actions and characteristics.
