Blog: The Neen Manifesto

I'm probably the only Christian, vegetarian, vintage dress collecting, tarantula loving, taxidermist's daughter you'll ever meet. Definitely the only one who can honestly say she has lived in a van down by the river! I am also good at laughing easily, making friends with baby raccoons, tigers, and vultures, and practicing complete vehicle ownership avoidance for the last 6 years. I get almost everywhere I need to in Denver by bicycle and I love it!

I like living my life a little offbeat....like Ashleigh Brilliant said, "It's good to know that if I behave strangely enough, society will take full responsibility for me." Grin!

Favorite things include kayaking, vampire movies/novels (and also anything by Dean Koontz), my brown tabby cat Kenny, Oriental supermarkets, pottery class, The Princess Bride, 24, Abba on 8-tracks, some Christian rap music, and studying Biblical prophecy, particularly via this website: Khouse.org.

Now, on to my work life.....

I'm a very enthusiastic Adobe Photoshop supporter, as I am a freelance photo retoucher and digital artist. My before and after retouching portfolio link is available upon request.

As for my art, I have been experimenting with my Epson scanner as a alternate means of capturing images, particularly very unique macro views of common fruits and vegetables. I sell prints online that would look amazing in a home kitchen, restaurant, or spa setting. Also, I love creating wildlife portraits and combining seemingly unrelated photographs into new, story-telling montages.

My digital art portfolio is located at Imagekind.com . In the future I may revisit painting as well, it's been a long time....and I have a macro scan of snails that would look completely amazing as a 4' x 7' canvas.

Thank you for viewing my Squidoo lens and have a great day!                    -Janeen

Canon Cameras on Ebay

I captured almost all the shots in the slideshow above with an Epson scanner.....however, for everything else I trust Canon. My next big purchase will be the newest model Canon Digital Rebel.
