    Anyone who has ever loved a dog knows they have souls and that they are indeed our best friends. I hate it that so many are abandoned but I also have a lot of sympathy for dogs who spend most of their lives in a crate or on a chain.

    I once had a dog who died of illness and since then, I've never had the courage of having another pet and be hurt again. I'm very devastated to see animals, especially dogs and cats, when they suffer and it really breaks my heart. Now, all I have of Joker, my German Shepherd, are lovable memories and lots of pictures. I even put some of his photos on my personalized dog checks and Humane Society checks and other stuff which will remind me of Joker as years go by. Will I ever overcome my hurt and get another furry friend? Your lens is very inspirational, by the way, & I thank you for it.
