Janice - The Coolest Gal on the Muppet Show
A Tribute to Janice
Other Great Pages about Janice
- Original sketch of the character that became Janice
- Michael Frith's original sketch of the character indicates that she was intended to be a male character, a takeoff on Mick Jagger's emaciated frame. Her name is probably a reference to Janis Joplin. However, in her final form as performed by Hunt, she bears very little resemblance to either Jagger or Joplin.
- Baby Pictures of Janice
- Janice made an appearance on Muppet Babies as a toddler. See her without makeup and before her hair grew out!
- Intimate Portrait: Janice
- We learn more about Janice, one of the few female muppets as Rowlf the Dog interviews her.

Janice: Actress
Janice did not merely do lead guitar and vocals for Electric Mayhem. She also was an actress on the Muppet Show and in the movies. She had a recurring role on as Nurse Janice on "Veterinarian's Hospital", working along side Nurse Piggy and Dr. Bob.
Janice had many memorable quotes. It was a running gag that the muppets would stop talking all at the same time except Janice. She would finish her sentence, not realizing that everyone's attention was on her...
"Look, Mother, it's my own life, okay, so if I want to live on a beach and walk around naked...." (The Great Muppet Caper)
"Look buddy, I don't take my clothes off for anyone, I don't care if it IS 'artistic'..." (The Muppets Take Manhattan)

Pure Love
There is no couple more perfect for each other then Floyd and Janice. These two do not put on the same arguing couple antics as Kermit and Miss Piggy or Gonzo and Camilla. They are merely two content individuals, who love one another unconditionally. Like Totally Fer Sure, Man

- Great Lens. Janice certainly had the 70's rocker thing going. Her and Floyd I guess snuck under the radar of attention being directed at Animal. This brings back memories!
