This is such a horrible situation, earthquake, tsunami and a partial nuclear meltdown are three massive disasters by themselves but together it's just devastating. Everyone should donate what they can to help these people out!

I'm actually having to stop watching the news because it's so difficult to bear, but I've donated and created a Squidoo charity lens for International Rescue Committee.

It's such a helpless feeling watching them suffer, but we can all help a bit!

Thank you! My "kids" (son and DIL) live in Tokyo and the support from Squidoo members for the people in Japan is truly heartwarming. I urge anyone reading this to please contribute and to continue to remember that others, such as the Haitian people, to name only one of many dire situations, are also still in need of assistance.

I experienced a mild earthquake when I was about 15 years old.
  • sorana Mar 13, 2011 @ 5:49 am | delete
Unfortunately I have experienced a big earthquake when I was a teenager and I still vividly remember bodies being pulled out of the fallen buildings. It was a horrible experience and my thoughts of hope, love and compassion go to the people of Japan. Every dollar donated counts a lot in these moments. However, nothing can ever replace the loss of life. Thank you for putting this lens together.
