Here I'll feature the best Japanese Horror Films ever and give you a sneak peek of my favorites Japanese Horror Films.

The Ring

Year:1998 ; Dir: Hideo Nakata

The movie The Ring, which was released in Japan in 1998, was one of the most terrifying and scariest movie I have ever seen. A single mother ( she is a reporter) investigates a series of mysterious deaths which she later realizes that they all are connected with a video tape. After watching the video herself, she is started in a race with death to try and stay alive. Her son, also watched the video. She only have seven days to figure it out or she and her son will die.

The Grudge

Year:2002; Dir: Takashi Shimizu

The Grudge is one of my favorite Japanese Horror Films. After a brutal murder, the souls of a young woman and her son remains haunting the house killing everyone who come close to it.

The Japanese version is much colder and scarier than the American version, which I think it's easier to follow. But director Takashi Shimizu brings all the elements of what a really scary movie should be.
