Japanese Kimono Fabric Goes International
Japanese Kimono Fabric
The traditional Japanese kimono fabric is typically made from cotton or silk. The materials it is constructed from and the style of the kimono lends itself to being one of the most comfortable outfits to wear. It is no wonder that it has become very popular, all around the world. It's no wonder that the kimono itself, has also become a very popular Halloween costume choice.
The kimono itself is so versatile that many, choose to wear them at home, year around.
The fabric can also be used in many other ways. I hope to touch upon some of the huge variety of uses for the kimono fabric in this lens.

Bon Dance Music CD
I realize that the Sundrums cd is primarily derivative of Carribean and Latin America music. But it features Kenny Endo, Hawaii's Famed Taiko renown Taiko Drums teacher. And, you can't tell me that Les Sept Voiles (4 on the soundtrack) does not include the Okinawan Obon dance sounds and rhythm. I hope you like my selections. I'm listening to Sundrums right now!

- Very interesting lens. Although I've heard of kimonos, I never really knew that much about them. Asian fabrics are really unique, aren't they?

- Yes the designs are pretty unique. Although, I have to come clean and admit that the design on the sexy blue costume kimono on this lens is Chinese influenced and not really indicative of a Japanese kimono.

- Love the kimono . . tea time or not. I always wear one before joining my man in the quiet room of the house. I always have a gift or two to show him - ha.

- My knwoledge on kimono is quite limited and composed references to kimonos and what you say above. What I do know is that they are beautiful and with intricate patterns - I understand that the designs and colours of these are traditionally applied by hand.

- Hah, hah, hah, from what you just said, you probably know more than most about the traditional kimonos. On other news, I just got a "kimono" that is made of, of all things, flannel! But it has those kimono sleeves and the styling is the same. Anyway, thanks for stopping by pepys.

- It seems that guys like that one for some reason. So the probability is that you're a guy. If not, the comment was not meant to offend. I'm not a guy but I like it too!
