Japanese Candy- Enjoy an Exotic Treat!

Japan's sweet candy products are not only tasty, but they come in some amazingly beautiful packages which tempt the eye. I fell in love with Japanese candy at the Japan Pavilion at EPCOT years ago, and still can't get enough!

Recently I decided to create an online shopping site for others who love these goodies but cannot find them where they live. Now it's easy to acquire all your Oriental favorites right through this straight-forward page.
Simply click on the items you're interested in and you can browse a world of wonderful tastes.

I love Japanese candy and hope this page inspires you to try some, yourself.

Unique Sweets

The Japanese enjoy all kinds of candy, but having grown up in small town America, at first many of them seemed strange and unfamiliar to me.

Here is a Japanese candy "primer" to help you know what you might enjoy.

Pocky (or poche) Sticks are a type of baked dough stick coated in flavored yogurt, typically chocolate and strawberry, although many other varieties are available.

Botan Rice Candy is a small lemon-flavored solid gelatin cube wrapped first in a flaky sheet of rice paper, which gets eaten, and then in plastic.

Other popular items include green tea macha balls, fizzy sour candies, fruit flavored gummies, and unique varieties of chewing gum.

Spotlight On: Kasugai Kiwi Gummi

A very tasty sweet fruit flavored soft gummy candy, available in many flavors. Twi I can personally recommend are kiwi, as below, and lychee.

Kasugai's Kiwi Gummi is my all-time favorite Japanese candy. It is fresh, juicy, full of fruit flavour. Very refreshing.

Spotlight On: Lotte Ume Plum Gum

A tangy sweet fruit and floral chewing gum. Very unique!

A unique flavour not available (as far as I know) in western confections. I loved the novelty idea of this unique product as well as the taste.
