The kuruma kanji is read in 2 ways
2. sha
so jitensha is a kuruma that jiten(s) or spins or cycles
jiten suru - you look it up in your new sanseido wa-ei that you bought from Makurasuki Sensei's link.
kotoba no ha - The word for word or, kotoba, is made with two kanj. The koto or harp kanji and the ha or happa kanji or leaf kanji. The word kotoba means speech or language but its best to think of it as meaning the word 'word'. Just as will be explained in a textbook on International Phonetics and it's alphabet. Ha of kotoha becomes ba thus making it kotoba so the rule even acceptable by the IPA is ha becomes ba except after c and since there is no mora c then there is no exception.
