Japanese Ghetto After Blast G.A.B.

On getting a friend's phone number - Use of OSHIERU vs IU

*When asking for and giving someone a telephone number, address etc. the Japanese use the word "to teach" instead of "to tell", so that they will in essence be saying, "Will you teach me your phone number, etc." instead of, "Will you tell me your number?" So if someone says, "Denwa Bango o oshiete kudasai", just understand it as,"Please tell me your phone number."
