Reasons To Honor Jason Dunham
It's time we honored the fallen completely.
A celebrity dies and mainstream media goes bananas for a few days. A Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine dies and it's just a quick soundbite if anything at all. I don't recall what was mentioned in the news on the day Corporal Jason Dunham died, but you can be sure that it wasn't nearly enough.Jason's status as a Medal Of Honor Recipient has linked his name forever with his act of courage and selfless bravery. His posthumous receipt of the medal should also remind us of the brave men and women who still complete their military duty everyday in Iraq and Afghanistan, despite the media's lack of credible coverage.
CPL Dunham's selfless act of jumping on a live grenade saved everyone around him. Our country should be grateful for his service.
