When I was looking at Squidoo to see if it would be useful it suggested that I set up a lens to talk about myself... and that's an opportunity too good to pass up, so here we are.
I like doing things, and this has gone quite well for me so far. In an effort to catalogue what it was I'd been doing, in 2003 I started a blog, and then shortly afterwards moved to a country where there were even more things to do than previously!
Some of the things I've had a go at in the last few years are:
- SCUBA diving (got my PADI Advanced Open Water qualification)
- morris dancing (I'm currently a member of London's Westminster Morris Men)
- live music (there are SO MANY excellent bands that come through London, it seems silly not to see some of them)
- comedy (stand up, sketch, musical comedy, absurdist, satire... the whole shooting match, really! I love it all.)
- some friends & I did a weekend introductory course in Falconry
- I love tasting single malt whisky
- a couple of years ago we thought it would be fun to go to the last day of Crufts. It wasn't. Live & learn.
- I did American-style kickboxing for about 2 years
- I love choral singing
- I've gotten a lot better at snowboarding than I used to be
Essentially, I like to try anything I can get involved in. Sometimes twice.

Starting in 2003, I decided that what the world needed was a way that I could address all of it without having to go to the trouble of organising a massive rally. Since then it's failed to make any sort of measureable impact on global culture, but yet people still feel compelled to read it.
