Like A LOT of People I started out in Corporate America. I was in Advertising Sales working for a Gannett property, The Detroit Media Partnership. I worked for a Year out of College at a Small Local Newspaper before I was able to get in at the DMP.

I built my network to the point where I was able to Leverage my contacts into an Interview with one of the largest Gannett properties in the US. I got the job and I was excited! A Big Time paper with Lots of Opportunity for Advancement... I was SOOOO Young and Naive.

You see, I had Never Worked for a big Corporation before. My working life had been for Small Business Owners. Some good and some bad, but all Much Different from a Big Corporation...

It was Great at first! Making good money... Building Revenues... Building Sales Territories... Building a Career...

Eventually, I started to Realize a Huge Problem with that life... I was having a Great Time and had Security, but I wasn't Building anything Significant for MYSELF.

I was Trading my Time for Money. I was Working my Ass off (sorry if this offends) to Increase the Bottom Line of the Company and the CEO, but this was doing VERY LITTLE for My Personal Bottom Line...

So, I began doing research on things that would Allow me to Create My Future... Not a Corporation's.

I spent HOURS online looking for a better way. The Problem... I was Way to Skeptical. Now don't get me wrong... Skepticism is a Very Good Thing when you are Looking for a Business Opportunity. But after I got burned a couple times I just thought EVERYTHING had to be a SCAM.

Since I looked at Online Ventures as Scams, I started looking into Offline Ventures. The First thing I did was Real Estate Investing. Flipping Houses.

My Venture Into Real Estate Investing
I Bought Courses and Researched things for Months... Maybe over a Year before I actually took any action. Then, when Angie and I were Absolutely Sure we knew what we were doing, we went out and bought our first house...

We were VERY EXCITED and Did Most of the work ourselves. We knew our budget, what we wanted to do and what our time-frame was to get it done, sold and Make a Profit!

A funny thing happened while we were Rehabbing the house... THE REAL ESTATE BUBBLE FINALLY BURST IN METRO DETROIT.

So, we finished the work, over budget, but still not out of profit or excitement... We put the house on the market for LESS than we thought it was worth. This would Ensure a Quick Sale...

Didn't happen. Dropped the price. Still didn't sell. Dropped the price more... Finally sold the house at a small loss.

Now, Even though we Lost Money, I was not discouraged about the Real Goal here... To be an Entrepreneur... a Successful Entrepreneur!

Back to the Drawing Board...
While I wasn't broken on the idea of Entrepreneurship, I wasn't about to get back into Real Estate at that time...

So I went back online and started searching again. i started Researching Home Business Opportunities deeper than I had in the past. I started Calling People I found online... Grilling them about the Opportunity they were promoting... then doing More Research on what was going on...

You know what I found? I found out there A LOT of Good People running Online Businesses. Of course, there are some that just don't get it. Some that are Abrasive, Overbearing, Overhyping. But a LOT of Really Good, Genuine People as well...

So I started Searching for a Sponsor... A Mentor... A Team that I was sure could Coach me to Online Business Success. And when I found a Sponsor I was Comfortable with...

I JUMPED IN WITH BOTH FEET!

How Did I Get Started?
When I got started I was admittedly a little Freaked Out... I had Never Done anything like this before... I mean, I was Very Computer Literate, but as far as Marketing and Getting Traffic to your Website... I had NO Idea...

So, I did what I Always do when I don't know about something... I Learned.

I Plugged into Everything My Sponsor was Teaching. I listened to Countless Webinars and Conference Calls. I stayed up All Hours Researching... Web 2.0, Google AdWords, Article Marketing, Video Marketing, Blogging, Forum Marketing, Craigslist Marketing... You Name it.

I began to see that I was better at some things than others. I saw that some things worked better than others. I saw that I enjoyed doing some things better than others...

As I learned more and more, I refined my approach to include the things that worked best for me and the things I Enjoyed doing... You absolute have to HAVE FUN doing this!

And, By The Way... There isn't any Single Right Answer... Video Marketing may work for some while Articles work for others. You Really Need to just find YOUR Personal Niche.

The Great Thing is, I have at least a Working Knowledge of A LOT of Different Online Marketing Methods. I'm also part of a Team Where EVERYONE has a Different Specialty... And ALL are Eager to Teach what they do!

So... This is Absolutely a Learning Process. My goal is to Shorten Your Learning Curve as Much as Humanly (and technologically ;-) Possible. When we can Shorten that Curve, YOU go into Profit Mode Much Faster!

My Ongoing Quest
If you like to Learn... and if you Like the Idea of Continuing Education... This is Absolutely the Right Path for you.

Internet Marketing quickly became One of My Passions... I simply could not get enough Knowledge. I could not get enough Information on How to Be Successful Marketing Online.

The Great Part About that? There is ALWAYS More to Learn... Even when You're making You're Dream Income... There is Always More to Learn.

Why? Because there is Always a New Technology that can be applied... There is Always a New Social Networking Site that can be useful... There is Always Something New that can Increase and Improve Your Business!

Even if you Didn't like school (which I wasn't real crazy about either) This is different. When you learn Internet Marketing You are Learning skills for the Real World. Skills that PAY YOU for the rest of YOUR LIFE.

This is Truly Powerful Knowledge.

Don't Worry, I'm not going to be Cheesy and say, "ANYTHING I WANT!" I want to give you a Real Idea of What I do, and what YOU will be doing to Grow Your Business...

So, as far as Marketing Efforts go, what do I do everyday? I have a Checklist of sorts...

First, I have worked Very Hard to Learn how to Market on Craigslist. I have it down to a 10 Minute Morning Routine and I Post Hundreds to Thousands of Ads on Craigslist Every Day. So I start my morning by setting up my Craigslist Software.

After Craigslist, my Main Focus in on Getting Valuable Content in as Many Places as Possible... My Main Focus for this is Article Directories, Blogs and Video Directories such as YouTube.

I create content about Whatever Strikes me that day. A lot of my content is Focused on Internet Marketing Training, Mindset, Network Marketing, Making Money Online, etc.

Don't Worry, once you get used to it, this doesn't take nearly as long as you might think. I'm a Big Fan of Automation and can show you how to Take Hours off Your Production Time Every Day.

I also Like to do MySpace Marketing. This is a Great Way to Introduce Yourself to Like Minded People and Build Relationships, Which is a HUGE part of this Industry. Like Craigslist, I've got this Almost on Complete Autopilot.

Now, I'll also do other things... Different Things on Different Days, like Creating Squidoo Lenses :). It just depends on the mood and what I think is going to help me Grow My Business.
