Definitely one of my all-time favorites, that was Jayne Mansfield! She was an American actress, Playboy centerfold and sex symbol.
During the 1950s, Jayne Mansfield was a leading sex symbol. In February 1955, she was the Playmate of the Month in Playboy. She would appear in the magazine several more times over the years.
Jayne Mansfield starred in several popular Hollywood films that emphasized her platinum-blonde hair, dramatic hourglass figure and cleavage-revealing costumes.
Jayne Mansfield, in her heydey, she "competed" with Marilyn Monroe and Mamie Van Doren. Oh, and do you know that Jayne Mansfield is one of my doppelgängers?

Jayne Mansfield :: The ultimate blonde bombshell
I remember when I heard this news about Jayne Mansfield!
On June 29, 1967, Jayne was riding in front with Ronnie Harrison and lawyer Sam Brody on the way from a Mississippi nightclub engagement. Her children, Mickey Jr., Zoltan and Mariska sat in the back. As they rounded a curve on a dark stretch of road, the car slammed into a slowed semi. Though the children survived with minor injuries, everyone sitting in the front was killed instantly.The world was stunned. Jayne's personality was so vibrant, her career so vivacious, that it was impossible to believe she was gone. At 34, she had already earned a special place in the hearts of millions, and with her death came a deep void that will never be filled.
Jayne was laid to rest in Fairview Cemetary in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania. There is also a centograph dedicated to her in the Hollywood Forever Memorial Park in Hollywood, California. --Jayne Mansfield Biography.

She was a master of publicity who appeared in newspapers across the nation almost daily. The media focused on her figure and her stormy love life. Through her constant exposure in the press, she gave the public the false impression that she was a major movie star.
This book charts the captivating life and career of Jayne Mansfield. A biography overviews her rise to fame, her three marriages and five children, and her death in a grisly automobile accident at an early age. The chapters that follow are each devoted to her performances in a particular genre, such as film, stage, and television.
Each chapter contains annotated entries for her work in that media, providing cast and credit listings, plot summaries, review excerpts, and commentary. Appendices list her appearances on magazine and record covers, and an annotated bibliography discusses additional sources of information.

Although she was unwilling to appear in the play, she received the Theatre World Award of 1956 for her performance in the Broadway production of George Axelrod's comedy Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?.
Mansfield won a Golden Globe in 1957 for Most Promising Newcomer - Female, as well as a Golden Laurel in 1959 for Top Female Musical Performance for her role in The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw, a western spoof directed by Raoul Walsh.
