Jay Salyers

I've been in the hospitality industry since late 2001 and love it. I graduated from the University of Kentucky in May '01 and started working for MeriStar Hospitality at the Resorts of Captiva and Sanibel Islands, FL later that year. I started as a bar tender and then moved to sales (long story) and then eventually settled into the interactive space.

I was told to manage the redevelopment of seven websites and make more money on them. All of which I was under qualified to do. With some good advice, a lot of work, and even more luck we redeveloped the sites and increased direct bookings by $2.91 million (34%.)

I went to work for Miles Media in 2004 and will be there forever. That's how much I love the place and the work we do. I do a bunch of stuff related to client services for print and interactive products we create for our clients. My title is publisher, but we all know that titles to mean anything.
