- Fear and anticipation are the feelings that a caterpillar has upon arrival to Chrysalis. For most, including myself, these feelings were terminated after the first few minutes. I am not usually a shy person, unless I am with a group full of strangers. After the first few minutes when you walk into the talk room and start to begin the opening activities, nobody is a stranger anymore and nobody really has a chance to be shy. When I got there and looked around the room, I didn’t know that the faces I was seeing were the faces of people I would be friends with for a lifetime.
The relationships that I shared with my peers and adult leaders through fellowship, worship, and prayer, created a stronger bond than I could have ever imagined. The tears and the laughter that erupted from my flight was the thing that brought us all closer together, and closer to God. The testimonies that we listened to contained material that still stick with me today. The topics of each talk focused on the things that we were going through in our lives, and the things that we would have to face in the future.
Chrysalis is definitely something that I would recommend someone who is ready and willing to learn more about God, and to experience what he does in our lives through the testimonies of others. This powerful and uplifting weekend will open your heart and your eyes to great, magnificent things. Not only will you make forever-long friends with the people around you, but also you will make an everlasting friendship with the one true God. FLY WITH CHRIST!
