I Ship. . . .

High Bridge, Kentucky. 5 miles from where I sit.

. . . . environments of irresistible invitation, inspiring belonging through thoughtful hospitality. I ship experiences of palpable liminality, inviting the kind of holy risk taking required for lasting change. I ship resources (books, blogs, podcasts, vid-casts, etc.) designed to facilitate reflective listening and contemplative action. I ship processes and practices enabling a way of education that gets past the mastery of knowledge and into the submission required for knowing. I ship ideas through shaping contexts for epiphany, participating with others in the process such that they can discover rather than be down-loaded on. Ultimately, I ship people who are prepared and encouraged to do their own shipping.

2009 Annual Cousin Camp Beach Party

Every summer my extravagantly generous parents take my two sisters and I and our families to a beach house in Gulf Shores, Alabama for a week we call "Cousin Camp Beach Party."
