Jeanine Mason won SYTYCD Season Five. She is the first dancer to have won the competition at 18, the minimum age requirement. Her acceptance speech was so cute, as she thanked her mom, with big crocodile tears sliding down her face. I always remind my ten-year-old daughter of this when she tries to get out of going to dance class. Jeanine performed a Travis Wall routine with Jason that was quite memorable, and her solo at the finale, I believe, pushed her ahead of Brandon to win the title of "America's Favorite Dancer." Jeanine Mason Biography
Post SYTYCD
During the fall of 2009, Mason toured the United States with the top twelve dancers of the So You Think You Can Dance competition. Soon after the SYTYCD tour ended, Mason headed home to Miami to teach a dance workshop at her dance studio, Focal Point Dance Studios. Mason recently performed on November 29, 2009 at the Dizzy Feet Gala in Los Angeles, California at the Kodak Theater. She and Jason Glover performed their popular contemporary piece, "If It Kills Me", choreographed by Travis Wall, and originally performed Top 10 week on SYTYCD.
