SWTOR Jedi Consular Guide

Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR), a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that will be released to the public on December 20, 2011. This is your chance to become a Jedi or a Sith class of your dreams, and have your decisions affect the outcome of the game. The game is more on you and your morals, your decisions affect your light and dark spectrum.

Non-player characters are now being affected by your choices, each choice will develop the story in a different way, and it is possible to fail in expectations. In SWTOR, you can pick the species that you want to play, but bear in mind that only humans have the freedom to choose from all classes in this MMORPG. Each class has a different storyline that is actively affecting your light and dark points.

In SWTOR, your choice affects your story, and even though you are a Jedi Knight, you can still wander into the Dark path by making decisions that are misaligned with the Republic's image. It is interesting how your decisions and actions affect your morality; it goes to show that you can be on the side of light and still be evil or dark.

Using the Force, you can manipulate it to disable your enemies or focus it to power your light saber in close range rights. You are not only keepers of peace and lore, you are its defender as well, so your light saber skills have to sharp and you have to be nimble and flexible in your fighting abilities. Like all Jedi Consular in SWTOR, to rid the galaxy of darkness you must first control the darkness within you, hence it is prudent that you check your motives before acting to avoid falling into the Dark Side.

The Jedi Consular in SWTOR is an all-rounder, a class that can both heal and do damage. If you are going for the light spectrum, be sure to question all your actions before making a decision.To manage this role, the best question to ask yourself during a situation would be, 'what would Master Yoda do?'

As soon as you hit level 10 you can choose your advanced class, or also known as class specialization. There are two different ones available, Jedi Sage and Jedi Shadow.

Jedi Sage

The Jedi Sage's abilities will focus on healing and removing negative effects on allies. They will also have a powerful range of force powers to attack enemies at range. Sage uses a single lightsaber and is good at crowd control spells. Jedi Sage has access to three different skill trees: first is Balance and it's shared among both advanced classes. The other two are Telekinetics and Seer.

Jedi Shadow

The Jedi Shadow's abilities will focus on dealing burst damage and stealth attacking enemies. Jedi Shadow can also tank using force powers and lightsaber defense. Jedi Shadow uses double bladed lightsaber. Skill trees you have access to are Infiltration and Kinetic Combat.
