- Bezos quit his IT job to sell books online. I can tell you that -- in the early days at least -- Amazon.com would fall all over itself thanking you for bug reports. Contrast that to some "sideline" websites where the hired help reacts with defensiveness, denial, and derision. That's one reason they are where they are today. (I know that's an unclear antecedent, but it works either way.)

- after seeing jeff bezos talk about the kindle on charlie rose i immediately purchased one...i have multiple sclerosis so reading became increasingly difficult...my kindle solved the problem...since my background is in graphic arts i couldn't help noticing and correcting a few problems with the user's guide, version 1.1...then i ran a hard copy, numbered the pages, including the table of contents, and had three copies made and stapled...two of my sisters ordered kindles as a result of my raves.
