The author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Books
My 10-year-old son just loves the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series and has read each book multiple times. He laughs out loud and snickers to himself. He also likes using it to jumpstart his own diary.
According to various interviews, Jeff Kinney draws his ideas from his own childhood, and now uses his two sons to provide even more inspiration.
In addition to his popular books, Jeff Kinney is also an online game developer and designer.

Where did he start?
Jeff Kinney has been creating cartoons since his college days. It was in college that Kinney created the popular comic strip Igdoof that ran in the campus newspaper, The Diamondback. While there, he knew that he wanted to be a cartoonist. However, Kinney was not successful in getting his comic strip syndicated after college, and in 1998, he started writing his ideas which would eventually become Diary of a Wimpy Kid. He also created this online game network

- Poptropica, a virtual world for kids to travel, play games, compete in head-to-head competition, and communicate safely. Kids can also read books, comics, and see movie clips while they play.
