- valuable topic. How many species of jellyfish are there in the oceans ? I have seen many on the sound side of the water at coastal NC in the water. Congrads on your Squidool level. Conversations helps with new ideas and topics. Thanks.

- I saw a huge jellyfish exhibition once in Monterey aquarium and it was the most mesmerizing adventure ever. It is unbelievable that such beautiful creatures could also be so venomous.

- Awesome lens there. I had foods in Korea too that were and acquired taste. Sadly, I was not able to get to all them before leaving country. Great job on the jellyfish, never seen one up close and personal and that's alright.

- I found myself watching a special on jellyfish over the winter and was amazed by how this very tiny one's sting could be so devastating and destroying so much tissue and eventually causing death. Box jellyfish sounds familiar and since you mention they are the most deadly to man, it must be a type of that. A beautiful creature to observe from afar!

- I did not realize there are so many types. I like looking at them but not swimming with them.

- I love watching the semi-transparent jellyfishes propelling around at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Their movements are almost pulsating. And yes, I have eaten jellyfish.
Great lens.

- I've been stung twice. A very, very nasty sting on my back. Fortunately while we were still in the water my friend used her very long fingernails to get it off of me. That was near Mombassa. An awful looking sting on my face, but not so bad really, was in Florida.

- So beautiful and so deadly. I do love to look at them -- at the aquarium! I was stung by one once, as a kid. I do remember it hurting. Must have been a little one, though.

- Where I kayak, here in North Vancouver, we often see little tiny white jellyfish. They are apparently not poisonous, or at least they have not enough toxins to cause a person discomfort. We occasionally see a big red jellyfish, which I have been told to avoid like the plague. You have a wonderfully informative lens here.

- Interesting work! I've seen many jellyfish in aquariums. I was fortunate enough to see a bunch of them swimming in the Cape Cod Canal a long time ago. They were right near the surface floating along, but none as deadly as the ones you've described I'm sure! Favorited, 5 stars and blessed, great work!
