Squid Quest: Virtual Jenga 3

We're starting a new game of Virtual Jenga. This time out the Jenga stack will have a "How To" theme.

It's an open Quest that is driven by the person who came before you. The goal is to see how many "How To" lenses we can stack in this game of virtual Jenga. The more lenses the group stacks up consecutively, the better everyone's chances at winning. Because if the community stacks 50 "How To" lenses successfully, everyone who participated gets a trophy.

Here's how it works. One person requests a "How To" lens from just one other person. For example, I might say: "I wish Kimberly would make a lens about how to organize crafting materials."

Then Kimberly, because she's a good SquidU reader, or maybe because other lensmasters tracked her down and told her it was her turn, makes the lens I requested within 48 hours. She posts it as a response in this thread.

She might say: Here's my lens about how to organize material scraps for crafting ! Next up: I wish Bonnie would make a lens teaching us how to choose video games for a four-year-old girl.

She builds that lens within 48 hours, then posts it here. She might say: Here's my lens about video games for preschool girls. Next up: I wish Clouda9 would make a lens about how to cut up onions without crying.

And then it's her turn to build a lens and request a custom "How To" lens from someone else. And so on.

"How To" lens challenge ideas can include recipes, crafting instructions, how to build anything, how to fix anything, how to maintain anything, how to live a healthy lifestyle, or anything else you want to teach the world how to do.

If the group makes it to 50 lenses in a row, all 50 of you unlock an NEW exclusive trophy. But here's the challenge: You have to do it without the tower collapsing. It crumbles if someone doesn't make the lens he or she was supposed to before the deadline. If someone requests a lens of you, and you don't make that lens and post it to the Jenga thread within 48 hours, the tower falls and the stack resets back to 0.

So part of the strategy, of course, is in picking lensmasters you think will show up and make a good lens quickly. Also in helping the lensmaster who got picked know that it's his turn!

The group is allowed 5 passes without the tower crumbling, but that's it. If you get picked and need to pass, just come say PASS and the person who assigned you the lens will pick someone else. If you don't show up to say PASS within 48 hours, the tower falls.

Yes, you can play again, if asked. And yes, there is another brand new trophy for this round of Virtual Jenga!
