Jennie Lee Harris

Jennie is a Christian teenager from the piney hills of North Louisiana. Over the last five years she has diligently taught herself web programming, being very proficient in XHTML and CSS2 with a rudimentary understanding of PHP. She enjoys using these skills by working as a freelance Web Designer.

What I Believe

Outline!

  • I believe there is one God: who came to earth in the form of a man, lived a perfect sinless and blameless life, died, and rose again, proving Himself God and eternal; who exists as Spirit and exists within those who follow Him.
  • I believe that the Bible; that is: the Torah (Old Testament,) the Gospels, Books, Letters, and Revelation (New Testament); is the infalable word of Yahweh, inspired and directed by the Holy Spirit.
  • I am a Calvinist and a Charismatic. Denominations are separations in the church, therefore wrong.
  • Calvinist: That all may receive the Grace of Salvation if they come to God. But only those called by God will ever realize they need to come.
  • Charismatic: We will dance, sing, and shout before God in Heaven, thus why not now? I believe we should worship the Lord in every way possible, that our joy should be overflowing and visibly so. But we should refrain from scaring people.
  • I believe in the gifts of the Spirit, that the Pentecost will never again happen as it was recorded in the book of Acts but that those gifts do still exist today.
  • We should only seek whatever gifts God will allow us to have, for no gift is greater then another and each serves it's purpose within the Body.
  • Spiritual Gifts includes: Wisdom, Knowledge, Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues, Healing, Miracles, Revelation, and Prophecy.
  • I believe that Church (that is, the people of God) are to governed by a group of elders. That each should teach and govern the flock, not a single pastor.
  • That women can serve as teachers but not elders.
  • That wives, or single women wholly committed to ministry, should wear head coverings in prayer, in teaching, and when using spiritual gifts. This is a sign to others, and to the angels, of her submission to her authority.
  • The head of Christ is God, the head of Man is Christ, the head of every Wife is Husband, the Head of every Young Woman or Child is their Father.
  • I believe that all forms of drugs - Alcohol, Tobacco, Marijuana, LSD, etc. - are wrong in the sense that they keep our bodies and minds from properly functioning and inhibit our ability to be close to God.
  • I believe that marriage is a covenant between a man and woman, holy and sanctified in the sight of the Lord, as it is also a representation of God and His Church.
  • All sexual activity of any kind is for marriage (and see above for marriage!)

What I Believe

Define Christian

Yeshua taught us that actions mean nothing in accordance to our purification. No matter how many prayers we say, what direction we face when saying them, the number of good deeds worked, and the number of times one is selfless in their life can we ever earn our salvation. For God allows us to receive His Grace of His own will. Without His Divine decision in this we would all be without the pathway to perfection for eternity.

Many people claim to follow the Christian 'religion', as it were, because they desire to go to Heaven. I know many will be sadly disappointed when they come to understand the truth of what heaven is. It is not a place where we are at constant peace because we have riches, a mansion, and glory but instead because we are in the glory and the presence of our Lord Yahweh, forever worshipping, and crying out, "Holy, Holy, Holy" with the Angels.

Unlike many this is the desire of my future: to be an eternal subject in the court of the Lord, to forever cry His excellence before the universe so that all may know and understand His Love and Peace. That freedom and hope which is received when we bow before Him as little children and say, "Abba, Father, release me from these bounds of the world. Remove from me all that is self-centered. Create in me the spirit we were created to hold - a presence of love and kindness, reflecting Your holy mercy and generosity. For You granted me life, now I ask You to take it, and make it Holy and worthy in Your eyes. For what is the creation if the Creator cannot lay eyes upon it? For what is my worth if I do not accept my inheritence? Your Love and Mercy, Your Forgiveness, is bestowed generously among the people, and I accept now the cup now that You have prepared for me - that overflows with Your Righteousness. "

This is my prayer daily, that God may remove all that the world has given me: anger, selfishness, lust, and hatred - all that consumes the world and once consumed me. I've no desire for it now. I believe we were created holy and pure, complete in a perfect world and at the trickery of another created being (lucifer) we turned from our God. From that moment we have suffered. And God in His Righteousness came to earth and taught us what we could do come back to Him, that we would again be holy, that we would again serve our purpose as created beings.
