Jerry Hughes put up huge numbers at Texas Christian University, he made offensive tackles look silly with his combinations of swim moves, bull rushes, spins, and just a pure speed rush around the outside. However, was it the lack of competition that made him look elite or was it actually Jerry Hughes' supreme talent. That is up to the teams to decide, but if I were grading Jerry Hughes' I would give him a late 1st and early 2nd round grade. If a team has a pick in the mid 2nd round and Jerry Hughes is on the board, it is a no brainer pick. Jerry Hughes may not come from an ideal top SEC program, but his production is too good to pass up.
