Dietary requirements

Jess has various family and friends that have a number of food allergies and intolerance so has spent many years making cakes suitable for these dietary requirements. This included her sister's recent wedding where she made the cake opposite, which was suitable for those with nut allergies, as well as gluten and lactose intolerances.

New cakes

Jess has been busy and added new cakes to her portfolio. Her favourite of her recent creations is this sandcastle inspired cake, made especially for one of her friends. The theme was chosen based on his job in marine ecology. Jess had not made a sand looking media before - she chose to use the base of buttercream and pebbledash it with blended rich tea biscuits. It created a bit of a mess but looks effective and doesn't make the cake topping too sweet in relation to the icings. Among those who were to enjoy the cake, were a few who enjoy icing more than the cake, so icing creatures were created. They were fun and quite easy to create. The birthday boy and all who devoured the cake were very happy.
