You can get costumes for almost all the toys in the movie, so there are lots of options without two people duplicating the same costume.

This can even work for adult events, such as a Halloween party or costume day at the office. And for adults, some of the toys in the movie are even more special, since they might have played with a lot of them when they were kids themselves.

Just make sure you shop early. The most popular costumes tend to sell out well before Halloween, so if you don't want to be disappointed (or worse, have to deal with disappointed kids) you should start your search earlier rather than later. And if you're ordering on the internet, keep in mind that you have to account for the time to get the costume shipped to you in time for Halloween.
