The Birth of Jesus
The Gregorian Calendar
The Old Testament in the Holy Bible foretells of the birth of Jesus in Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. When Jesus was born, His birth transected time from B.C. (Before Christ) to A.D. (Anno Domini - Year of Our Lord) and not the false term "After Death". This dating is the bases of the Gregorian Calendar which is the global standard. Throughout history, dates are legally written as: this twenty-seventh day of March in the year of our Lord two thousand and fifteen. Giving support to the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God - He is alive. See an example of this legal dating at the bottom of this Official US Document.
We needed a Saviour
The Old Testament books of the Bible show what the world was like without a mediator, without Jesus. When a Holy God and sinful man were butting heads, with man overshadowing God's wishes. The Old Testament books also paint a picture of the fact that man cannot possibly keep all the commandments on his own, he cannot make heaven on his own and ultimately needs to be saved by a blood sacrifice. A blood sacrifice sounds strong, even shocking yet it represents a strong promise made between God and Man through Jesus, similar to the blood promise between a man and a woman the first time they are together, promising forever. A Saviour was sent
The New Testament books in the Bible tell us how much God the Father loves us - so much that He would send His own son Jesus Christ to become the ultimate sacrifice for us making a way for us to be with the Father through the sinless shed blood of Jesus. The Bible says in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Believing is a word of action and continuation, more than just an understanding but a continual belief, participation and following. Jesus is not a Saviour who doesn't know suffering, who can't understand how you are feeling when you are forsaken by your own friends and family, he was too. He knows the depths of mental suffering and the pain of physical torture, His words are a salve to your soul, more than the empty words of those nearby who have not suffered. You will find in Him a very real comfort in your time of need. The sign of the Fish (IXOYS) represents Jesus Christ
Jesus IXOYS Mediator between God and Man

The earliest followers of Jesus were persecuted and forced to worship in hidden locations. Often these believers would scratch the secret symbol of a fish in the ground to help them identify other Christians. Not only was fish a common food of the day, often used and referenced by Jesus during His ministry, but the letters which make up the Greek word for "fish" (IXOYS) also spelled out a secret message about Jesus Christ from the original Greek . You and Jesus
His life-death-resurrection story can be read about in the Holy Bible. In the King James Version of the Bible some editions have the words of Jesus written in Red called Red Letter Versions. I would encourage you to learn about Him because it is only through Him that we can hope to spend eternity in heaven while helping and guiding others here on earth. He can be your closest friend and He is only a whisper away.Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Following Jesus
Following Jesus means believing He is the Son of God, sent to save you from sin and reconnect you to your heavenly Father. Believers are not afraid to confess faith in Jesus outloud when necessary and are not ashamed of Him. They follow Jesus' example and are baptized in water in His name, they repent and are sorrowful for the unholy things they have done. They empty themselves, confessing to Him often with tears while asking forgiveness. Followers ask Jesus to come in, to fill their heart, mind, soul and the emptiness that they have lived with. Jesus begins to heal them completely, deliver them from addictions and wrongdoing while making them witnesses of His delivering and saving power so others may hear and follow too.
