Jesus Christ, was, is, and will continue to be...

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

Jesus Christ is the Word.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Jesus Christ is the Light.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. John 1:6-9

Jesus Christ is the way.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

Jesus Christ is God's Son.

Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Matthew 16:16

When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!" Matthew 27:54

Whenever the evil spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God." Mark 3:11

Matthew 8:29, Matthew 14:33, Mark 5:7, Mark 15:39, Luke 1:32, Luke 1:35, Luke 4:41, Luke 8:28, Luke 22:70, John 1:34, John 1:49, John 10:36, John 11:27, John 19:7, John 20:31, Acts 9:20, Romans 1:4, Romans 8:3, I Corinthians 1:9, II Corinthians 1:19, Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 4:13, Hebrews 4:14, I John 4:15, I John 5:5, I John 5:20

Jesus Christ is the Messiah whom those in Old Testament times awaited because of the prophecies about Him in the Scriptures.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). John 1:41

The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us." John 4:25

Jesus Christ left His rightful place in heaven with God the Father, and humbled Himself by entering into the flesh as a man.

But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." Luke 1:30-33

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death- even death on a cross! Philippians 2:8

John 1:14, I John 4:2, Luke 1:35

Jesus came to give mankind victory over sin and death, and to accomplish what no man could ever do; reconciling mankind to God.

He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. I John 3:8

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Jesus laid down His life freely, as a sacrifice for all time, so that those who embrace Him by faith, and accept the price He paid for their sins, might be sealed with the Holy Spirit and given eternal life.

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him. John 3:36

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven-the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. John 3:13-15

Psalm 16:11, Matthew 18:8, Matthew 19:16, Matthew 25:46, John 4:14, John 5:24, John 6:27, John 6:40, John 6:54, John 6:68, John 10:18, John 10:28, John 11:25, John 17:2, John 17:3, Acts 13:48, Romans 5:21, Romans 6:22, Romans 6:23, Galatians 6:8, I Timothy 1:16, I John 2:25

Jesus died, and God the Father raised Him up on the third day, proving His victory for us over sin and death. He is risen indeed. He's alive!

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you." Matthew 28:5

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead... I Peter 1:3

Matthew 17:23, Matthew 20:19, Luke 9:22, Luke 24:7, John 2:22, John 21:14, Acts 2:31, Acts 4:33, Romans 1:4, Romans 6:5, I Corinthians 15:12, Philippians 3:10, I Peter 3:21, Revelation 20:6

Jesus ascended into heaven, to gain back His rightful place, and all those who believe in Him are filled with His Spirit, where He continues to do His work in us, and through us.

I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:12

Then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Acts 4:10

For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Matthew 10:20

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Romans 8:11

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! Hebrews 9:14

Acts 9:31, Acts 11:28, Acts 16:6, Acts 21:4, Acts 28:25, Romans 8:2, Romans 15:19, I Corinthians 12:8, Galatians 3:14, Galatians 5:5, Ephesians 2:18, Ephesians 3:16, Ephesians 4:3, Philippians 1:19, II Thessalonians 2:13, Titus 3:5, I Peter 1:2, I Peter 2:5

Jesus Is The Way, The Truth, And The Life

Jesus is THE Way

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Jesus is Truth

This is the one who came by water and blood-Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. I John 5:6

Jesus is the Life

And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:17

All things belong to Him, for all things were made for Him.

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. Romans 11:36

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:3

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. John 1:10

Do You Know Him?

...or just know of Him?

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. -Matthew 7:13-14

Opposition and Persecution

Many people believe that the Christian life will be an easy life upon coming to know the Lord. Jesus never said that following Him would be easy, and even though He gave us many promises, and will always be with us, what He did tell us to do is watch out. He told us to be ready because the enemy is hard at work, and if He was opposed and persecuted, even though He did nothing wrong, we would also be opposed and persecuted because of Him.

"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." Matthew 10:16

Who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time-houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions-and in the age to come, eternal life. Mark 10:30

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Romans 8:35

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. II Corinthians 12:10

Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. II Timothy 3:12

Our brothers and sisters all over the world are being tortured night and day for the name of Jesus Christ. It is fitting that we should stand together with them.

Remember the prisoners as if chained with them-those who are mistreated-since you yourselves are in the body also. Hebrews 13:3

For you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven. Hebrews 10:34

This salutation by my own hand-Paul. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen. Colossians 4:18

Meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains... Colossians 4:3

There are some ministries that will enable us to do just that, one of them being the Voice of the Martyrs.

VOM is dedicated to the persecuted Church, serving those who have suffered great loss for their faith. Richard Wurmbrand, the founder of VOM, was imprisoned for 17 years of his life for his faith, and has made VOM known in America.

One of Wurmbrand's books is titled, "Tortured For Christ", in which he explains what happened to him throughout his days in prison. Wurmbrand, as well as other Christians who were imprisoned with him, showed the ruthless Communist guards nothing but love, through Jesus Christ. It is truly an inspiring read. I would definitely encourage you to read it. You can get it for free here.

God has made the way through Jesus Christ, so you don't have to.

Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Savior, the Lord; as proven by the Scriptures. Jesus Christ opens the eyes of the blind, and gives eternal life to those who trust in Him. He is the gate at the end of the narrow road, and only a few people are going that way. Many people reject the Way that God has made to heaven, and assume that they can get there on their own!
