Jewel
Who Will Save Your Soul? I was hooked from the moment I heard her sound. I bought her first CD, "Pieces of You" and played it over and over again. I loved all the hits that came off of it, and all the little unknown songs on it.
Jewel has kept her folksy sound, mixed with a little pop here and there for a fresh piece. Pretty cool when mom and son can like the same singer.
I remember watching her do a yodeling thing on a music special, and played the most fun song. I loved her personality that came through on that special!
Jewel spent her youth in Alaska, and shared hardships through the years, eventually living in a car in California. Her life travels helped her create many of her famous lyrics. Today, she has to her credit selling more than 25 million records!
Higher Ground for Humanity is a cause she helped found. She donates a piece of her income to help those less fortunate.
