Handmade Creations and Wearable Art from Nicole Pellegrini

Hello and welcome to this page, spotlighting my interest in jewelry design and a sampling of the jewelry I have available today for sale.

I became interested in beading and making jewelry as a hobby over ten years ago, as a way to express my creativity outside of painting and hopefully to make a small amount of money at the same time. Little did I know that today, I'd have an entire room in my house devoted to making jewelry, while traveling the country showcasing and selling my work at craft shows, exhibits, conventions and other events. Beading has become a form of art I truly love, especially when I am able to bring others happiness with my creations - and to hopefully make them feel more beautiful by wearing a lovely piece of jewelry!

Here you will find a brief introduction to my work as a jewelry artist: galleries of recent work, some basic information on my "beading philosophy", where you can find my jewelry and also how you can get started with beading yourself! I hope you enjoy this tour of my jewelry gallery - and perhaps you may discover a piece that is just calling to you to make it your own!

My Design Philosphy

The Four Principles of My Jewelry Work

When creating jewelry pieces, there are four guiding principles I always keep in mind.
  1. Experience. I have been working with jewelry design for over a decade. I'm familiar with my materials, my techniques, my suppliers and the ups and downs of the jewelry design business. I know what designs are classics; I know what stones will work well with others. I know that every customer is unique and jewelry is not a "one-size-fits-all" market. I've seen what works and what doesn't and what designs are long-standing favorites for good reason.
  2. Quality. I source my stones and other beading materials from the best suppliers I can find. I will tell you honestly what materials are used in a piece and will not use inferior products or cheap findings that will break or not wear well with time.
  3. Creativity. I am constantly seeking out new materials to work with, new stone combinations and colors to try. In my collection you will find both classic, traditional favorites and more original, modern creations. My objective is to make each piece of jewelry a small work of art.
  4. Craftmanship. I stand behind the workmanship in my designs. All pieces of jewelry are guaranteed to last through normal wear and tear. Any adjustments or repairs will be made at no charge to my customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to Common Queries About My Jewelry

  • Do you have a website where I can shop for your jewelry?

Unfortunately due to the one-of-a-kind nature of most of my work, and the vast number of pieces I have available for sale at any given time, it is impossible for me to keep up an up-to-date, fully functional on-line "storefront". I do, however, sell select pieces through my Etsy Store, "Spacial Anomaly Gallery". There you will find highlighted pieces of jewelry as well as some of my original artwork.
  • Can you do custom design work?

Yes. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in commissioning a special piece of jewelry - or an entire collection! I have done bridal & bridesmaid sets, seasonal wardrobes for busy professionals, as well as individual pieces using requested beads or designs.
  • Are you available for home jewelry shows?

Absolutely - within the southern New Jersey and metropolitan Philadelphia areas. Again, please contact me for details.

Some of my Favorite Suppliers

Jewelry and Beading Supplies On-Line

"Where do you get your supplies?" It's a question I hear often from other beading enthusiasts and artists. Truthfully I shop all over the place, although these days I purchase the majority of my stones and pearls at gem and bead shows - especially those that are wholesale shows. But here are some places I recommend to anyone looking to get started in beading or find new bead suppliers.
Fire Mountain Gems
Very large selection of findings, glass beads, crystal, wire and more for the jewelry artist. I do not find the quality of their gemstones good for the price, but if you buy in bulk they are a good source for basic finishing supplies, clasps, accent beads and more.
International Gem & Jewelry Show
These large jewelry and bead shows take place around the United States, sometimes offering both wholesale and retail pricing. A good way to explore materials that are available!
Lita Trading Company
This bead store in New York city has exceptional quality stones for the finest designs. Specializes in coral, turquoise and pearls.
888 Brannan
If in San Francisco, this gift and jewelry market is worth a stop if you are in the business. Good selection of bead and jewelry suppliers located within, sometimes with unusual quality finds.
TB Hagstoz & Sons
This old-fashioned storefront in Philadelphia's Jewelers Row is where I go for my basic sterling silver and gold-filled findings. Great customer service, selection and prices.
All Season Trading Company
Good supplier of basic findings, imported stones and pendant pieces, coins, bone beads and more.
