About Jewels of Awe
the book

Jewels of Awe is filled with poetry from inspirational to heartbreaking to fallling in love to contemplating life. It is filled with jewels.
Forward
I began writing poetry at the age of 12. I did
not know it would aid me in discovering a new
intimacy with my own spirit, teaching me about
love and revealing to me who I am on the path
of knowing thyself.
Meditation further aided me in this process
which took me to the depths of my own
shadow and back again into my light with a
newfound sense of peace and a wisdom I
would have not had otherwise.
I believe that all that has been my life, all the
heartache, the love I have known has been the
path I was meant to go down to learn about
myself. You cannot truly know another unless
you know yourself. Though not an easy
journey, I am grateful for the destination I have
now arrived at.
Keep knocking, and the joy inside will
eventually open a window and look to see
who's there.

Jewels of Awe
poetry for and from the soul
A poem from Jewels of Awe

Pure as a Rose
The room was filled
With flowers
All I could see was you
There amongst
The lilies and dandelions
You stood out
Pure as a rose
Claiming my heart

Patricia Sanders
You can have anything
You can have anything you
want if you will
give up the belief that you
can't have it."
Poetry
words for the heart and soul...
Poetry
Pieces
Why does the sun
Seem so silent today
An ancient bird remains
Trying to flutter her wings
Shattered clocks
The walls moan in pain
In the pit of my stomach
Lies all I do not say
I fear speaking
Yet die in silence
Anyway
Broken pieces
Scatter with the wind
While I watch
In the stillness
Of my heart
That still calls
Out your name
And tells me
That
I love you
Just the same
September
Tonight
You come
Full of kisses
A smile painted
On your face
Laughing
Singing
Happy
Open-hearted
My heart sings
To the sea
The songbird's majesty
Happiness
I love you
Lying here next to me
Outside
The sun had set
Inside
With you
The sun still
Danced
Across the sky
We Dance
We stand up
And embrace
We dance
To a song
Only we can hear
The music
In our hearts
A lover's tune
Across the Flame
Sparing nothing
But nickels
In the chance that lofty thought
Remain unhinged
And quietly
Though unspoken
Altered arrows
Through the flesh
Wounding even you
Specks of dust
On quiet nights like these
I took down
The pictures
Melted frames into pieces
And waltzed across the flame
Of hunger
Eaten by tender flesh
And reduced to
Utter irony
I spent the day regressed
Upon My Soul
On ground of sacred Earth
The ringing of bells
Can be heard
Calling us to remember
A truth veiled lightly
In a blanket of forgetfulness
I'll find me there
Where angel's songs
Upon my ears
Do greet the morning sun
And in the cracks
My worthiness
I left unkempt
In a long forgotten place
Sullen
The road more frequently traveled
When joy forgot her face
The child inside
A voice so long unheard
Safely tucked into the womb
Of love's sweet arms
Woven of all that glitters
Eons's Path
The tatterings of the orange blossom
In full bloom
Catching the flow
Of the mountains ascension
The darkness descends
Crossing aeon's path
To the witched mountain
Where ablaze they stand
Gowned in white
Their hands of light
With a vivid view
Eyes wide open
Eyes brand new
Here, I will sing
Here, I will look at you
In the fire of my soul
The dancing flame
No sword in my hand
Just a heart where I stand
No armor to bare
Nakedly aware
My soul it is I share
My soul it is I bare
Whence upon I followed
The Christed form

With Devoted Hands
With Devoted Hands
With devoted hands
I take you
Into my arms
And gently
I fall into you
Your solid embrace
Your soothing touch
How you own me
The sky is a smile sweet
Where I belong to you
And you belong to me
Time is an arrow
That claims me
Eyes of a sparrow
That name me
Love of your hands
That quietly tame me
With devoted hands
Wings
Light
And it's depth
Of endless treasures
Life
Blossoming
With it's many layers
Of wings
That call to me
take flight
take flight
We Meet
I get carried away
By your lantern burning bright
By your kisses fancy flight
The night holds the air
And stirs the blood
The gaze below me
Wildly beats
I rise
You fly
We meet
Where are my feet?
Every time I see you
They think
That they have wings
Your palms open wide
For I
I climb inside
Lit by the candle's light
As beside, you lie
I rise
You fly
We meet

- Peaceful poetry. Very light and yet lots of emotion in some of them.
