    This is great. I run Linux and I want to do more with designing themes for my WordPress and Movable Type blogs. I've been putting off learning Gimp because it looks so complicated when you first open it up.

    Once I learn a new way of doing things, I like to reflect what I learned while the information is fresh in my mind. I consider myself a beginner at preparing web designs this way, but still wanted to put a tutorial out there to teach what I learned.

    this tutorial is one of the worst i have ever seen -why did you save the images as jpg? they are blurred, if you didnt notice.

    I know this comment was entered a long time ago, but I was on the fence on whether to post it or not. In this tutorial, the images are indeed blurred, but in subsequent tutorials I made the images much crisper png files. I decided to not change the images here as that would take long and take me off of time to write new tutorials.

    Sorry that you did not enjoy this tutorial lens.
