Challenging puzzles which will take hours to do.

There are times when you don't want to or can't spend time on the computer playing jigsaw puzzles, here are some nice ones you can try.

The Thomas Kincade range of jigsaw puzzles is very collectible. These are some of the easier examples and as a pack of four they are good value for money.

Jigsaw puzzle software 

Jigsaws Galore

This is my favourite of all of the puzzle creators software. There is no version for you to sell puzzles, and there is a selection of free puzzle packs and many beautiful for pay packs which can provide extra jigsaw puzzles. All the software can be purchased by direct download or on disk. I have used Jigsaws Galore since Version 2 and love it.

Jigsaw Puzzle

This jigsaw puzzle has a beautiful interface. It's not quite as flexible as Jigsaws Galore but there are plenty of additional puzzle packs on the site, again both free and for pay. This seller has a promotional version and a version of the software you can buy if you want to sell your own puzzles.

Jigsaw Mania

This is another jigsaw puzzle software that I like, the only problem is that when it cuts your puzzle ready for play the pieces are hidden and you have to scroll in all directions to find them which can be a bit of a pain.

This software is shareware with a pro version for selling puzzles. It has loads of free puzzles you can download though.

Brainsbreaker

Here is another puzzling software with a really beautiful interface and a nice finishing action when you complete a puzzle. Pieces can be rotated easily with the mouse and there are plenty of different free puzzles to download, as well as ones you can pay for.

Jigsaw Puzzles on eBay 

It can be fun looking for jigsaw puzzles on eBay!

Always check carefully on sites such as Amazon.com and www.alljigsawpuzzles.co.uk in order to check the price of the jigsaw puzzle you are considering buying. You don't want to find yourself paying more by buying on eBay than the shop price! Remember to factor in the cost of postage and packing too.

A nice collection of free Flash puzzles which will play in your browsers can be found here. Do be aware that the author is selling his Jigsaw puzzle Pro software on this site at a very reasonable price but I haven't had a chance to try it! I like his puzzles though.

Puzzle Balls 

Globe shaped puzzles are the latest innovation by jigsaw puzzle makers.

These globe shaped puzzles give spectacular results when finished! I have made several of these up, the pieces fit together very snugly and don't fall apart. Some of the puzzle balls are glow in the dark too which is rather fun.

Penguins 240 pc puzzle ball

This wonderful puzzle is great fun to do - I bought one for myself last Christmas. I advise you to lay out the pieces in numerical order before you begin.
