Why I love to make Doll Clothes

It seems that I have always been sewing, especially since I had my kids. When my children were younger I felt the need to create things so that I could complete something because children are an on going project.

My middle daughter always loved dolls and so naturally, I turned to the sewing machine. As they say, the rest is history.

These dolls are so much fun to sew for. They bring out the imagination in girls and boys and they are a great size for children of a variety of ages to take with them. My daughters love to help me decide what to make next and help me pick out fabric.

I just checked out the voting below and no one has voted for Belle so I thought I would change the picture and see what you thought now. I just finished this outfit and I think it turned out beautifully! Let me know what you think.

I especially like the princesses and character outfits like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Stay tuned for more characters like Little Red Riding Hood and many others!

The Newest Princess 

I'd like to announce this newest Princess that I have made!

This is the Little Mermaid! This outfit is made for baby dolls such as Bitty Baby or Bitty Twins or any other 15 inch baby dolls.

The outfit is made of satin in purple and green sparkles. Both the skirt/tail and bodice is fully lined and closes with snaps.

Clothes, shoes and more... 

The clothes on my website are handmade by me and in stock. I also make bean bags for the dolls to sit in and tents for them to camp in and sleeping bags for sleepovers.

Several outfits come with other accessories such as purses, beach bags, baskets with Toto, cowboy hats, etc. These things add so much to these fun outfits!

I have been fortunate enough to find a source for shoes, and I have fallen in love with them. I think it goes back to my fetish for baby shoes :D It has come to the point that I make outfits to go with the shoes. Who could resist these ballet shoes?

Extraordinary Doll Clothes

Currently, I sell at a few craft fairs per year and on a great site called Etsy. Etsy is a site where you can purchase wonderful handcrafted goods from all over the world. Everytime I open up the site I am amazed at the talent that I find! Please visit Etsy and check this out for yourself. There is an amazing variety to be found.

Craft Show Mania 

This is a picture of part of a booth from one of craft shows I did last year. These shows are a lot of fun because I love to talk with people about the doll clothes. I especially love to hear from repeat customers who have bought from me for 3 or 4 years. It is great to hear that their kids are still playing with the dolls and the clothes and inspiring a lot of imagination.
